Best part is, his reaction to the blood is partially genuine. Mel didn't tell the actor how much blood they were using, and didn't expect gallons (which is how much they did use).

Funny trivia: Weber's line "She's dead enough" was actually an ad lib. He didn't know how much blood was gonna spray out at him, and you can see him trying not crack up through the entire scene
