  • I really want to do this! (Of course Im too young/broke though) Everyone says I look like every race mixed, so Im inspired to find out where Im from. I hope its africa ^_^

  • akwaaba come and visit!!

  • oh wow..you are so blessed to have been able to do that.....that's my dream...

  • Congratz brothah!! :)

  • Where is your father's ancestry. They always leave out the father is if he is of no importance in this genetic ancestral map

  • @TheSistaWarrior

My test results came back from my Father as wel his origins are Guinea Bissau, I did that opening with my Family and Friends in a ceremony but I wanted to share parts of it with the viewres to perhaps inspire someone to do the same thing because Family DNA is so important. One was public and one Private.

    Shm Htp

  • @vegasview77

Htp fam I applaud what you have done. For me I am a little reluctant to do it because I do not know what they do with collected genetic data. Perhaps the call needs to be made to black African geneticists to do this for us. Of course they would have to NOT be part of any system that has ulterior motives. Personally I feel a connection with Ghana and Nigeria and Kenya. It's a feeling and not based on genetic tests. Give thanks for posting this video serious and for your courage.

  • @vegasview77 my ancestry is in guinea bissau as well they are from the balanta people

  • your return package was a far more impressive than mine I used the roots for real company good information but presentation could have been better, mentally it has help me put a piece of the history puzzle together an was so proud to find out my folks were not transported during the enslavement and killed all the british they came across on them damn boats they held out until the 1700s. If any of my direct fam are in the house Bioko Island all day baby NO add mixture 100% pure blood African?:-)

  • Thats Whats up Ahk...Allah is blessing us to reconnect to our genetic history. I know that it is The Will, The Living Spirits and prayers of our ancestors that revealed this technology and idea to modern man. They(Our Ancestors...the WE and Us in Qu'ran) Who ARE ONE...say He ALLAH is ONE....is forcing this information to the surface that was once buried.

  • peace Ishmael Allah

  • This is beautiful my brother im glad you shared this what all of us. I wish to do the same an take the DNA test to see whats in my DNA history.

  • Bruv.. whats up with the name? Why would u have GOD as a last name?

    Congrats on ur results.

  • @MIBBG

My last name is Bey, Allah is my middle name. Bey means Ruler one of the attributes of course.

    Thank You for viewing Fam!

  • @vegasview77 Congrats on being African, but just remember how you are far more than your body, thus you are far more than "African." You'd start laughing hysterically if you knew how different your true identity is from your egoic, earthly one.

  • @vegasview77 yay! congrats!! I'M AN AKAN TOO!! FROM GHANA!! :)

AKWAABA! (this means "welcome" in twi, the akan language). i hope you visit there sometime! :)

  • @elegance212

I have been to Africa a few times already but on the East Coast, Thank You for the Greetings and Blessings to my sister Queen!

    :)

  • I am so happy you found your African roots. I took a DNA test through another company to see where my roots go in Africa. I was really disappointed with the results. I was told that I was basically European and that my ancestors came from England. This totally surprised me since I am African American. I turned to my older relatives and started asking for answers. I was told that my great-grandfather was white. This is something that had been kept as a secret and was never told to me.

  • why on earth do you want dual citizenship with a african country? dont you know that the whole continent is infested with rebels and mass murderers?

  • NSALP121, TV-head. You have the Youtube to search out 53 African nations and more than 500 cities and towns with villages and wilderness. Do that now. You don't have to go to school to be a little bright.

  • @NSALP121 where are you getting your information from ?

  • @NSALP121 you must ask God for forgiveness for making this comment. People like you are the TROUBLE creators of this world. Here is someone who finally untangled himself from the mess of over 400 yrs he found himself in. You are now condemning his newly found freedom. Shame on you. Africans can no longer be deceived. Don't u know that when a man stays in the dark for a long period of time, he would begin to see? This is more than the land of Africa. It is called FREEDOM. You must apologise.

  • damn. i had to sit down a get a grub and watch this video.

i'm a see what's up with their site to get a link on my own for a special segment.

    this is important.

    lemme research the details.

    congratulations ish.

  • im ethiopian born american (east coast of africa), amara tribe..i can feel how fascinating is for an individual to be told where he/she from.congratulations to all african american brothers.

  • WOW Akan! You should read an old book on that tribe. I will give you the name of the book. According to the book you are one of the true Isrealites. But I will give you the name of the book and you judge for yourself.

  • Congratulations!

  • who do i go to to do that dna mitochondria ancestry thingy?

  • African Ancestry . com is what I used

    It's a very good company

  • what if im not african tho.

  • Congrats, brother.

  • Hotep family! Your consciousness must have moved into another sphere with knowledge of self! The history of your people stretch further into the cultural continuum than just the Akan people or the Nation of Ghana. Our journey as a whole will take us to the Ghana Empire, Pre-Imperial Mali, Mali Empire, Songhai Empire, Almoravid Empire, Askiya Dynasty, the Oyo Empire, the Ashanti Empire, and the Republic of Liberia! Our history is one cultural continuum that is deeper than the Maafa! 1Luv

  • indeed, although I have had self idenity since 82, it added so much more clarity of WHY I am the way I Am and my spiritual awareness. I have taken my Sacred Akan Oath and sent away my Fathers DNA as well, i'll post the results like this one straight out the box.

Thank you for the blessings and wisdom.

    Ish

  • Thatz P.e.a.c.e. God - I sent our brother NUBIANSRULEDTHEWORLD a link to this build. Me and him both are planning to get down on this information. DefiniteLy gives us a more holistic understanding of who we are. P.e.a.c.e./Hotep -

  • I am extremely honored to share in your results with you Brother. I will be doing my maternal as well in a little bit. My paternal was European and my father is dark skinned mix French Choctaw. My God or Mother is surely mixed more than my dad because she is 3rd generation high yellow. If her results come back European just as my Dads Imma whoop dr kittles ass, lol, j/k.

  • Thank You Family, I must say Brother you set an excellent example and It allowed me to follow your lead with Cameroon Star

    Stay Blessed

  • cont....

Don't get me wrong I do KNOW that Familial historical Digging is paramount, and that is much of my focus on youtube but, but these days I don't trust most mainstream means.

What is you veiw on my comment Fam?

    Peace Bruh.

  • Peace Family,

I studied before doing this and the results are sent to one of the top labs in the nation independently. Dr. Kittles is a highly respected expert in his field and renown for his lectures as a credible Doctor in his field. I would measure as suicide to be deceptive my Brother.

    In my humble opinion.

  • Good looking. I ask others this question and they have no answer.

My only hope is that the whole phenomenon of the media pushing these DNA tests is not to play on, and take advantage of the fact that so many of OUR people are simply longing to BELONG to something, or somebody, when it comes to identity.

Why would they erase our history, and then so willingly give it back? (rhetorical)

  • I feel you soldier,

That's why it took so long for one of US to do this important work. Everything I know about Dr.Kittles is correct. DNA is an unfolding science and he's growing the database on the paternal side but it's a process and they are upfront with all results of what can or can't be done.

  • But you know how it is in these days for brothers like us. It's hard to trust anybody but mama, ya hear me?

    Peace Family.

  • Congrats on your test family. I do have a question for ya tho. Is it wise to TRUST THESE DNA tests, outright? Yeah I know this particular company, AFRICAN ANCESTRY, is FRONTED by a BROTHER and a SISTER, but that is meaningless in my opinion. Often Black faces are put out there to lull us in to a false sense of security.

  • Akan people the best people on Earth!!!!!!! Pure Warriors and leaders.

  • This is so beautiful!

  • Thank You Queen

    Stay Blessed

  • Blessings to you my brother!

  • towerblocker

Thanks for the kind words and viewing

  • RESPECT FOR THIS BRO!

    my mother is Akan(Guan ppl).

    big ups and welcome.

  • termanology85,

    Thank You for the welcome

    Stay Blessed

  • Blessed beautiful great news, you'll love Ghana, they love embracing us when we come home. The Akan are a special group possessing serious science linked with Khemet.Remember Akh is the crown chakra in Khemet, the Akh/Akhu

soul seat concience + n= of(water) glyph, and it is a component of Akhenaten's(of soul seat concience of Aten) divine name. Hotep

  • wakanu7,

Yes we have a very powerful history. I studied it well, even before

    I knew it was me.

    Thank You

  • It would have been interesting to have seen a Y DNA test result, which would be your father's line. That gets passed down unchanged from father to son. With these African Heritage DNA tests black people are being persuaded to take the MtDNA tests without being well informed. The Y DNA test results open up a can of worms because it gets passed only from father to son unchanged. Who knows, your great great great great Grandfather could have been from a group of people that you LEAST expected.

  • imsonecessary,

I'm currently getting my census records of my Fathers family before completing it with my DNA. All children are physically linked to the MOTHER so it's just as valid. Millions of our Ancestors were raped by the devil so nothing should suprise Afrikans.

  • If you tried to trace your ancestry paternally especially considering what's been done to us here back to Africa that'd be tricky due to all the rape during slavery. The brother who runs the africanancestry site was on 60 minutes (rebuilding the family tree) and said 1/3 of blacks have a caucasian "Y" chromosome. MtDNA however is purely African. If you're one of these you are what your father is types, which I've heard Hebrews say, then we lose a 3rd of our people.

  • That's true indeed. I'm interested in what mines will say as well

  • imsonecessary,

Just a courtesy follow up, My Father's DNA came back as 97% Guinea Bissau with the Y DNA. On my Mothers side I already know there is mixure of white because my history has my Foreparents as the daughter of an Alabama Indian Chief who was with a caucasian but Fathers history is from the West Indies and proven thru DNA the bloodline.

    HTP

    Ish

  • @vegasview77 your name is not correct if you are muslim

  • @yunaas101

I'm no Muslim, I AM AFRICAN the creator of the religion of Islam. Ishmael Allah is of African origin.

  • @vegasview77 Why would you name yourself Allah? Very offensive to muslims like me. You are not the creator therefore it is not right to give yourself that name or the person who named you that...

  • You have reached a new threshold of knowledge of self. Congratulations.

In ancient days the area of Ghana, Mali and the Songhay kingdom was one huge kingdom as sophisticated as Kemet but bigger than all of europe. You are a descendant of a very powerful people.

  • TheBlackdragon2012,

Yes, Family you are correct and the History connects us to a power present and future.

    Thank You for the blessings

  • i'm SO happy for you, my dear brotha. I wish you well in your continued search.

Maybe next, you can visit Ghana and share that experience with us.

One day we will ALL know our exact ancestry.

Here's a thought... why don't those that took us, pay for us to find our home? Afterall, they are always telling us to go back there. Right? lol! Peace,Your Sista

  • outoftwnr22,

  • Being that I'm the son of West Afrikans, who was born & raised in the U.S., I already KNOW where I come from..

It's ALWAYS good to see brothers & sistas discovering WHO they are..

  • Beautiful family!

  • Ahhh you beat me to it..I was gonna do something like this as a first video. This is cool..Akans huh? Thats some serious history right there.

  • congratulations!

  • It won't load?

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Whats the name of the test and where can i get one?

  • Go to african ancestry (dot) com . remove all of the spaces and parenthesis. A female would take the matriclan test and a male would take the patriclan test. They also have a youtube channel that explains more. Best Wishes on Your SANKOFA!

  • he said his matriarchal roots are... he didn't say patrician, and why would you separate the test by female and male as to what side you test for, Maury never ask who is the Mother, it's who the father, we say in America Mothers baby daddies maybe lol, really though tell the difference so I will know why I'm asking for separate DNA results, thanks, hotep

  • xanmere,

I took the matriarchal test, If you are male you can also take the patrician test for the same amount. I will be taking that one as well. I'm going thru my Fathers Census records before I take that, but I know we came from the West Indies thru my Fathers as well as Africa. Females just can take the matriarchal test.

  • why would a woman just want tot know one half?

  • Peace A[fri]kan, glad you showed and proved being from the MOTHELAND. You know you always welcomed in Ithiopia.

  • so i guess i do not have to convince you to buy land in Ghana huh

    brother

  • I'm saying! Ishmeal, you mean you aren't a mu-ite? LOL

Peace God! Akan people from Ghana! That's what's up!

    Hotep!

  • im kru and kpelle

  • Congratulations family!! The entire diaspora should do this. Anxious to see my results.

  • We are ONE PEOPLE and MANY NATIONS/FAMILIES.I think he Akans of Ghana have a version of the red fez. Even the Hausa of Nigeria and our family in Niger wear Moorish attire-so it don't matter to me. Peace!

  • Indeed, they were using Kente cloth used in Kemet and the culture is tight. Them fools can keep MU, we got Africa!!!

    Hetep Family!

  • LOL! Well good for you though. Rep that Kente cloth tot he fullest.

  • What company did u use?

  • i get to get one of them

  • get some cousins or siblings and get one test. They can cough up 20 bucks each. let the oldest Elder of the family take the test.
