This was a scary wreck for kevin. I was terrifyed for a minute there for my fav. I was very glad to see ryan ok too. Definantly a test for the strength of the windshields.

I love how the blame the wing on the back of the car now. They must have forgot that blowovers have been happening for a very long time. Not just since the put the wing on.

And I really like the idea of 4 little bolts and sheet metal supporting the weight of a 3500 pound stock car, This has been happening for years and now we want to blame the wing. This will keep happening without the wing.

Made them look to much like a dang import. I just dont understand why they are blaming the wing when this has been happening for years. If you pay attention to Edwars in Daga is car was coming back down when Newman went underneath him. Why didnt the wing catch it then and blow him over?

@collinsworth1982 the "shark fin" has seemed to help a lot. I highly doubt the wing had anything to do with cars getting airborne it was more likely that the larger size of the cars created more drag which means there was more air for cars to catch when they get sideways. But a wing was nothing more than a glorified spoiler, it didn't act like a true wing of a car.... it acted like a spoiler as evident in wind tunnel testing. What's really stopped cars from getting airborne lately is the fin.

they're trying to change the wing or maybe even make a car for superspeedways only. newman is right, nascar is making it boring. they didnt let them do anything that they usually would have which is why it got "exciting" at the end. the last 5 laps were like a demolition derby and the rest was single file racing. hello nascar its talladega!

Does anyone think that NASCAR is a fixed sport? I am not alone on this thought. I have heard comments from drivers that race dirt and they wonder very much what's going on. How is it, that if every driver has a car of the future, and have to meet certain qualifications, that it's always the same people up front. You have the unenthusiastic and former pit reporter Jerry Punch, Andy Petree, and washed up Dale Jarrett, then in the pit road studio Bestwick, Rusty, Ray, and Dougherty. At least Rusty gets excited, the rest are abunch of monotones... If I had a say I'd say let Fox do all the races with Joy, DW, and Larry Mac.

It's about time someone spoke their mind about NASCAR. The only thing that sucks, knowin NASCAR, they will fine him $100,000 and suspend him for the remainder of the season for speakin his peace. NASCAR has turned into what seems like a dictatorship. The drones (the drivers and teams) say what NASCAR wants them to say. But Ryan was right! nascar caused this one themselves. no racing below the yellow line, no bump drafting in turns, the rules keep coming but nothing changes. NASCAR has to realize that changing rules does not prevent anything, and should just let it be. Work on safety innovations rather than driver restrictions! Restricting drivers just gives them less room and causes things like this to happen.

there has been alot of very very good nascar flips this year and as i can say for myself is that the BLOODY AWESOME!!! good to see no1 get hurt but the crashes are unbelievable especially wen i see nothing like dis where i live (aus) coz all we got is crap v8 super cars and they are boring as hell but nascar is my favorite sport in the world ( well 1 of em) and i will keep watching coz they rule!!!

That was awesome. Yes in Nascar a lot of people including myself wait for the big one. And thank god Newman was ok. Thanks to the people who made these cars safe cause if it was like in the old days he would of been dead no doubt. So yes I love the big wrecks as long as the drivers are ok. I mean look at Earnhardt sr. Did not look like a bad hit on the wall but he died shortly after the hit. Nascar forever!!!!! Too bad kyle was not on his roof lol.

I have always cheered on my favorite driver( Mark Martin), and love close finishes, but I also don't mind a big crash now and then AS LONG AS EVERYONE walks away. And I do NOT cheer until I am SURE the driver is out of the car and ok. If someone is injured I feel bad. Just like NFL fans love big hits, NASCAR fans are gonna love to see big wrecks now and then.
