  • What was you average Frames Per Second in this video?

  • Your video is a favorite on Damascus

  • Great game, mate, but I can't understand a word the Czech bloke is saying, no offence.

  • Will this play ArmA 2 well?

    Specs:

    GT 335M OC'ed to 9600 GT performance

U7300 OC' ed to 1.73 GHz

    4 GB RAM

  • @majaben12 1.73 GHz? that's abnormally low. you need atleast 2.5 GHz to play this

  • would i be able to play with : AMD Turion II P520 Dual Core Processor 2.30 GHz 4 GB Ram ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series? at least low- med?

  • Hello,

Soon (I will be done at the end of November) I will upgrade my pc. I will replace my current cpu with an AMD Athlon II 3 GHz dual core, I will upgrade my current amount of RAM to 2,5 GB and I will replace my current graphics card with a 512 MB one. Will this be able to run Arma 2? Because that's the reason I'll be upgrading my pc.

  • @AbdulFattahMujaahid yes you will, that is the recommended specs for this game. meaning it out does the required specs.

  • Hello, I've got a Dell XPS 9000 desktop computer, it has an Intel Core i7 920 2.66 Ghz processor, 12 Gb of RAM, Windows 7 64-bit, and an nVidia GTX260 1760 Mb graphics card with a 720p 1360x768 screen.

How well will ArmA II run?...

  • @playman350 Very well xD

  • @Perilix

But the demo ran like epic s*** Q_Q

  • is that custom can i buy a complete setup like that PS: CHEAP

  • @TylerS2448 yeah u can u must buy it by stock price from factury

i have a high end pc for just 200 stock factury price

  • @1zzCAL1B0Rzz1 (would a i7-720QM processor be able to play this on high)

Answer: yes this processor would be able to play the game on high. But please note you need a proper GPU (not intergrated etc) + at least 2GB RAM

  • @ARMA2official hi, I will be buying a top of the line laptop soon , it comes with Intel core i7, 6Gb RAM, and an Nvidia Geforce 230M with 1GB RAM, how well will the Laptop run this Simulator

  • @callofdutyguy9 Hello, this laptop will be possible to play the game really great. You just need to make sure to customize the graphic settings - view distance etc 2-4 km will be good.

  • @ARMA2official Hello, when i play arma 2 the graphics are great, but i have a bad motion blur and alot of lag. what is the problem? is it the video card or grpahics card?

  • @PatsKidd that probably means your settings are too high. they make the game look good but it will be slower unless you have a great computer. put them down, experiment with them to see what works best

  • @callofdutyguy9 dont buy a laptop you can buy something better for games and cheaper.

  • would a i7-720QM processor be able to play this on high

  • Why was the game heavily centered on the CPU? why wasn't physx considered? anyway, will the game be patched to support the new hexa core processors from AMD and Intel?

  • may i noe the settings used for this video?i'm on a similar spec

  • Does ARMA 2 support crossfire? I have an ATI 4870 and was thinking about getting another to crossfire it and improve my performance. I have gotten very mixed responses on forums and was hoping to get a good response from the official ARMA guys, Thanks!

  • Hello, ARMA 2 is supporting the crossfire (the game experience will be better). However it's important to understand that sometimes the game requires CPU power so the crossfire and massive GPU performance is not the way which will automatically help. We can't promise you 100% success.

  • i have a nivida driver. direct x 10. can i run this game on low?

  • how would a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT220 graphics card handel this?

  • Seems GT220 isn't a very high end card, low-medium settings people are reporting, of course it also depends on the rest of the PC spec, some tweaking may help, the new Nvidia drivers also improve performance which again should help, but if you want max FPS you need to look at a higher end card. If you don't have ArmAII yet you can try the demo to see how it runs, but be aware that the game is now patched to a much higher optimised state than the demo is.

  • looks amazing. dling the demo now. thanks for being on steam!

  • I was going to buy codemasters' dragon rising ripoff of operation flashpoint because I can only do gaming on my ps3, then I realized: 1. It has a lot of problems with realism and 2. on ps3 they basically put in low-res textures and the shittiest team AI on earth, so now I'm saving up for an ultra gaming rig PC, what graphics cards would you guys recommend for ARMA 2?

  • Hi, thank you very much for your positive feedback, we really appreciate it.

Recommended spec. (packaging): Nvidia GeForce 8800GT / ATi Radeon 4850

However, it's obvious the better graphic card you buy the better will be the game experience.

We can recommend you Nvidia GeForce GTX 260.

Most important note: please use quick multi-core processor. With quick processor you can use GeForce 9800 GT.

  • ah, awesome, I was thinking of a quad core processor, probably about a 2.8 GHz CPU or higher, 3 GB RAM and a geforce GTX 275 graphics card, would buying a core i7 processor instead make a huge difference in performance?

  • I wanted to recommend you the Bohemia´s forum, but now I see you are already posting in the right section :)

Anyway, I have just received feedback from my colleague from tech support - 2,8Ghz quad core should be adequate, core i7 is much more powerfull so there would be a difference, but I don't think it would be cost effective

  • FUCK YEAH! the i7 is the god of processors!

  • try and get an i7 proccecor and 9 series NVIDIA

  • Bohemia is the best, and f**k the rest (Codemasters and their new OFP).

  • yeah fuck falsemasters :D

  • i have a PS3 my PC is way out of date i just learned about this game since Operation flashpoint 2 came out on consoles.i would rather buy this but when is the release date???? Please say Christmas at least fellas.

  • it have beed relased many months ago...

  • came out months ago dude. Get down to your local gamestore or on amazon and whip a copy up =]

  • i think Rawsdawg means date for PS3 release. i am in a similar situation....my pc is bare minimum specs wise.

  • those fucking germans have nothing to do with this game. BIS made it, and they are from Prague, the Czech Republic. who is the asshole now? :D

  • why "fucing germans"? As far as I know You're from Germany ^^

But ARMAs and OFPs - made in Czech Republic ;)

    Cheers ;)

  • the 360 is to bad for the game noob

  • @TrollKing2009 Their Czech. And the amount of CPU usage of this game would probably make a 360 explode.

  • Wait, i don't get whats so graphicly good about this game? It looks pretty much normal too me but i'm probably wrong.

Is it the frams it runs at or the size of the maps~?~

  • It's highly realistic when you're in forests and such. Plus, the map is 225km squared, and all vehicle interiors are rendered, etc.

  • my computer would never be able too run it then... lol my specs : AMD athlon 64,2gb ram,ati readon 4200 Hd (i think it is) 200gb hdd,ASUS motherboard something something, artic cooler heatsink and something, some old fan, a floopy disk drive, a cd drive/dvd rewritable and some other stuff its rubish i know.

  • it looks good

  • ArmA 2 is best game 4ever

  • Commanding AI has never been matched by other games :)

  • There is no need to order all units sitting in the same car to go to the same spot. Even with no unit selected, the driver will execute the order as you are sitting in his car. Though this function can be bugged on custom CTI servers.

  • It cut at the end because the AI was about to go right through the middle of the village to the hill!!!! XD

  • LMAO

  • 3:41 lol, the developer speaks like the AI in the game.

  • For your information dummy, he's not a developer, he's a PR manager.

  • omg i thought i was the only one that noticed that lol

  • i have a 8800gts 512mb , 2 gb ram, intel core 2 duo E6700 2.66 GHZ. Runs at 33-35 average even with 200 troops running around it dips to about 25 fps still easily playable. But this game if you watch the video you will notice even the developer's computer is lagging at times. That says VOLUMES. This game in a year's time with a new vidcard will play awesome, i meen a generation above the 295 GTX. Right now its still playable with my specs.

  • How is the game called.`?

  • the amount of bugs in this game cannot justify seeing me spend $90 Aus to play this. Srsly, was looking forward to it cuz I loved OFP1 but urgh just playing the demo was painful. Willing to wait for the bugs to get weeded out though, b4 I buy.

  • I'm just curious what kinds of bugs are you seeing? The game is pretty stable for me. One or two small bugs, but nothing that impacts gameplay for me. And in case you don't know, BIS is one of the only companies that will give regular updates for the next few YEARS. They are great supporters of the community. And Arma games have the most robust and talented community out there for any game out now (or in the past), bar none. So IMO, it's the best investment in gaming today.

  • Can I have your computer? :3

  • You should turn post processing off and turn others on low and then buy a new processor LOL

  • lol, i managed to get this game, only to find my pc sucked so bad i got 11fps on very low graphics, damn!

  • unlucky :-(

  • mine too but iget new graphic card and processor

  • mine pc isn't too bad i got,

    2.0GHz Intel Core Duo

    4GB RAM

    512MB nVIDIA graphics card

its just the processor that lets me down and stops me playing this amazing game, i ran it with task manager open and the game was running 100% cpu on both just on the main menu but only running 42% ram, damn shitty proccessor!!!

  • could u tell which graphic card? 512mb is not enough

  • geforce 8800m

  • oh hm...

u need a better Cpu... ´with dual core min. 3 ghz

    quad should work with 2.4....

    graphic card is "ok"

u could play with a better cpu maybe on low-middle

  • Comment removed

  • I have 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    4 GB RAM @ 800 MHz

NVidia 8800 GTX 768MB reference card

Game is installed on a 10k speed SATA hard drive

The game runs pretty well. I reduce AA to 2x, I keep the shadows on full (but reduce to low if the game is lagging), turn post processing to low, texture to medium, map detail to medium, object detail to medium or high, and everything else is on full including anisotropic. Nothing is overclocked on my system.

  • just shows what the extra 400MHz per core does for you

  • That is why you should always try to get a demo or torrent version just to test, then buy the game if it works.

  • i did, i dont buy shit, look at my page, i have like 30 games its just this is the only one that i cant run

  • BIS! My lovely developer. Please change that awful speeches in some of future patches! I wasnt playing first arma but in original ofp speeches sound much better in my opinion.

  • Wow they gave out the computer specs! It is interesting to note that they are using a 2xx Nvidia GPU.

I wouldn't mind seeing a "Meet the Developers" Video. With interviews and insights into the problem solving/brainstorming process they went through.

    Neat little video!

  • No he isn't...

  • they are working on the bugs of course, just be patient.

Keep it up with the dev diaries ;)

  • Mild Sexual Themes? Wtf....

  • Rape. First mission.

  • Took me a (drunken) min to get what you meant.... but in the end i 'lold'. :P

  • Is this going to be in a patch? As of now there are a lot of bugs such as AI not going where you want them to go. Please fix the bugs like others have said.

  • Huh? Everything in here is in the game already :S.

  • BIS is the greatest developer on earth. Not a surprise for me personally that they listened to the comments and gave up their pc specs.

I guarantee you no other developer would ever do that.

  • Jees, don't take things so seriously. Go ask for EA's hardware specs on their pc's or any other developer for the sake of it - see if you get an answer.
