  • Thanks for post this brilliant clip. What a finish. I was about 14 when this was played.

  • What a finish ! What a game ! I've seen loads times but i still get excited.

They actually did show this on Channel 4 (in the UK) in 1984

  • Jeff Dujon you beauty !

  • @kradensteiger - the players who played for 2 countries are like this - Iftikar Ali Pataudi (eng and ind). A.H. Kardar (india and pak) Ed Joyace (ireland and eng. byr he did not play test for any team) Eoin Morgan (ireland and england. played test for england) Gevin Hamilton (played test for england now is captain of scotland) Mohd. Nisar (the only lighting fast bowler of india who bowled the first bowl for india in test matches. later played 2-3 tests for pakistan too) there r many more.

  • wow kepler played good all round cricket in this match 77 & 2 wickets but sadly ended up on the losing side but atleast he got an oppurtunity to showcase his talent in the world stage unlike other talented south africans who were confined to playing domestic cricket in south africa.Well how many players have represented two countries in cricket.....i dont remember anybody other than kepler & traicos...........

  • what a game!

  • HUGEEEE boundry line. looks about 80+ meters.

  • the batting, bowling and feilding was so fluent back then, it was all talent. there like robots now unentertaining, overcoached.

  • I don't understand, if he hit the ball and it went into the wicket keeper hands without hitting the ground, isn't he out ? so how is it the the wicket keeper hit the stumps with the ball to run him out ?

  • Joel Garner had the most fluent bowling acting I've ever seen. No jerky movements, just pure flow.

  • @Holden308 Agreed. His height allowed him natural speed with his arm length. Awesome bowler, they should have him as their bowling coach.

Isn't it amazing to see a time when the uniforms looked good and the umpires had to do everything themselves....

This is more exciting then nowadays......

  • Sie allein ...... ok um das Gefühl ......... was meinst du, wenn du mir sagen nur, dass es Ihnen danken

  • wow.. man !!! thanks for sharing just a great match :)

  • entertaining :)

  • 3rd world countries at our best, showing how its done!

  • This is classic cricket at it's very best. I have the tape of world series finals 83-93 and by far this has got to be the best final on it.ODI cricket is sadly not like this anymore where you had these legendary players but the memories still live on.West indies just seem to to a shadow of themselves these days compared to then when you had Lloyd,Richards,Gomes etc. Thanks for posting this little gem!
