Man, does this bring back some memories. There was a time, pre-Hogan, when the NWA ruled. The NWA champion would wrestle in all parts of the U.S., as well as other nations, taking on the best that they had to offer. Now, with the WWE, it's going to be the same group of wrestlers every time, no matter where they are. Flair would wrestle, say, Rick Steamboat in the Carolina's, then Carlos Colon in the Carribean, then one of the Von Erich's in Texas, then Jumbe Tsurta in Japan. Greatest ever.
That's nothing. Now John Cena does the same thing. He wrestles the same oponents in Japan..wait..WWE is too pussy to go there, I ment Purto Rico...wait WWE is to pussy to go there, let me think about this one.
in ajpw,was that inoki? wow,awesome footage from flair. these are the kinds of vids i like to see,the rare stuff. i'm so sick of flair videos with wwf clips i just wanna fuck somebody up. this is the ric i know. would have loved to see the whole match with him and dory or the tag v patera & blackwell.
@mindbeyond This is the Flair I remember as well. Though I liked the Horsemen, I liked Flair better when he wasn't always winning through a screwjob finish. The WWE should include footage like this on their Flair DVDs, or else, release their massive library to someone who'll make a product that's more representative of Flair's entire career. People criticize Flair for wrestling the same match every night; sometimes that was true, but those critics are also quick to forget the Flair seen here.
