Then I rushed home to see it. I live a bit near the Polish border, on their TV so I watched often. The program is really successful. And the scene with balloons is great.I was in high school. It was the first full show with ABBA, I have seen. Thanks for uploading.
It's probably 1976. I think EddieAlda doesnn't know that Poland was under communists' regime at that time. This is only a part of the show at Polish TV. See the other parts. 'Odd' was that the communists let the people watch a band from hte west!
Saw this from back of large room at one ABBA convention I have been to, and thought those big balloons looked like someone had found a handy use for cask wine bladders once emptied. I am wondering if considering all the great quality footage of this show in Poland why on earth it isn't on a DVD release? At very least it could have been the Polish special edition release of "Arrival" I hate having to buy same labums over & over again, but concede is worth it to get full shows like this one.
tablicakorkowa - that's so true. and people don't know that, cuz how could they, it's our history, not everyone must know Poland was over the power of Russians and what they did than.
i don't know if i get you right, but they (Abba?) agreeded to have those pillows on stage cause polish word for them is familiar to onother word in swedish? if you're interested, "huge pillows" in polish is "poduchy" (read po-doo-hi), for "normal" pillows is "poduszki" (po-doo-shka). for singular change y/i to "a". now we're waiting for some Swedish to confirm similarity :-)
3:02 that's too funny Frida & Agnetha didn't know what they were saying so they decided to clap along LOL. . . but this song is great! Long live ABBA!

Definitely the best of all their tv specials,
no doubt about it. EddieAlda must be
a total moron. Don't pay attention to him

What an odd TV show, and such silly sets and props. I cant believe someone here thinks this show should be put on DVD. Hardly.

Look at Agnetha between 33 and 40 sec;D Isn't she lovely dancing and fighting with these balloons?
BTW these balloons, according to the producer of the show, were very heavy...

you do have to wonder what they originally agreed to here! is the Polish word for huge pillows similar to something sensible in Swedish?

What a crazy idea with these cushions, they could have been a little smaller, but ABBA are great!
