IMO.And I know they are like assholes. The 3 greatest live performances from around this time are #1 this video. Eddie was insane and if he did indeed have the flu even more amazing. #2 1988 Sinead Oconnor Troy-pink pop.Love her or hate her, if you don't get the same chills as you did listening to Eddie than you don't understand music. #3 1991 Man in the Box in Miami by Alice in Chains.Layne Staley destroys it. He's at his absolute best and at the very end hits a note that no one ever will again

This version is his best IMO and the 1992 Pink Pop is a close 2nd. This song and performance along with Layne's Nutshell unplugged just stir something inside of me down to the core.

I have never liked Eddy Vetters as a vocalist.I have always felt Alice in Chains and Soundgarden where the best grunge bands.That said look at how many bands sound like Pearl Jam.Seattle bands where never the best musicians but they where effective song writers and that is critical for the American audiance which is more concerned about relating to the music that admiring chops.What the hell this stuff is light years better than Rap or dance music.Rock on.
