Suffice to say, there are very good reasons for depicting the Ottomans as "aggressive". There are also very good reasons why the relations between the present-day Turks and their once subject peoples are so terribly awful. It certainly isn't because these subject peoples have faulty historical memories. It might have more to do with how these peoples experienced the perculiar Ottoman interpretations of "peace" and especially "justice".

In the game you can have either a de,democratic monarchy, monarchy, or a republic, in this instance it was monarchy. look at the other ottoman victory videos you will see.

I was about to buy this on steam, this stupidity just turned me off, they even put palm trees for god's sake, in Anatolia a palm tree ? Lets assume the fictional capital is not in Istanbul, where is this desert while there is no desert in Turkey ? That architecture is clearly Arabic, tell me a single dome like that in Istanbul, I live in Istanbul !

The Ottoman empire did not start in the middle east (depending if you think Turkey is middle east), it started as a small principality around 100 kilometres south-east of Istanbul. Off course there came Arabs to Turkey when the Ottomans ruled them. But Turkish people are not Arab!
