  • The mill wheels are "toed" outward by two or three degrees this keeps the blade rolling off the backside of the wheel, when it rides back the bearings on the guides keep it from riding all the way off.

  • Great straight forward plans and I'm now building one. I do have one concern though. I noticed that there is no mechanism for tracking. I see the tension bolt but nothing for tracking. Does it need it?

  • nesesito saber a que revolucion deve jirar el motor y las poleas

  • @kira9548 Si usted tiene alguna pregunta me dice, no hay ningún problema. Gracias, más adelante.

  • @BlueMacGyver again, thank you; can it be configured to a gas motor? I already have a 9hp that's just sittin.

    Meanmike777

  • @meanmike777 Sure, but a gas motor is less torquey than an electric of half the hp. If you do try it you have to recalculate the rpms of the new motor and you will end up with different size pulley wheels, so that you end up around 5000 feet of blade per minute to the log.

  • Thanks for answering my email on plans for the Sawmill. Please let me know if you get a copy that I can print for my Dad. He would really appericate it. Thanks, Michele

  • Nope, I only have it here. I don't want to accept the agreement that comes with posting to the warehouse, so I haven't yet.

  • @BlueMacGyver My Dad was watching your video and was wondering if you had the plans for your sawmill uploaded, so that I could print them out for him? Thanks, Michele

  • @TheOrchid118 I have website attached to my channel that you can get one picture from with the main measurements, but for all the measurements I would look at my other video with the enlarged font, it show the measurements bigger. I will have to get a printable copy after Christmas.

  • are you plans on the sketchup warehouse? I would love to get a copy of the file so I can play around with it in sketchup!

Could you upload to the google warehouse and let us know?

    Many thanks and great work!

  • This is really awesome!

  • @Progneto Thank you sir.

  • Many thanks ...

  • Hi Bluemac,

Thank you so much for sharing. You did a great job making the sawmill and sharing with your videos plans and comments. I am going to build my sawmil, me and my buddys work with wood and are not that good with metal, so we will try first from wood if that won't work we will try to do it from metal. Can you help me with finding a good blade, at an nline store that will ship to Israel ? I see you used a 1", how long is it ?

    Thanks for your help

  • @tulipgraphics Cook Saw Manufacturing will probably ship internationally and my blade is 10 feet 3inches. I use a 1inch blade, but you can also use the 1.25 inch blade. You should call them to order the blade, that is how I did it. I think my blade is their " super c " not really sure though. They have different types. Just ask for one blade the first time to make sure it works. You can resharpen them with a "dremel" tool, if you follow their instructions.

  • @tulipgraphics Also, if your blade needs to be a different size they make most blades to custom lengths. I have resharpened mine 2 times so far. If you need any more help as you build your mill just ask and I will tell you whatever I can. Make sure you start with the wheels, shafts and pillow bearings first, then the rest of the machine.

  • Great job, very well thought out and inspirational to us all. Thanks for sharing. Cheers JK

  • @jimkennedy03 Thank you, that's exactly what I was aiming for.

  • Nice work - was this done with Sketch-Up?

  • @777strongcoffee Yes sir. I hope everything is easily visible. It is completely to scale.
