  • General Motors plagiarized the gto model name for this car, it was ferrari that this name was first used as a model for their cars in 1962. Then two years later gm took the name from them and applied it to their pontiac model as a 1964 debut.

  • Very nice car!!! My dad just bought one off a guy that had to sell it ASAP (due to moving out of state). So needless to say he had no time to negotiate. We got it for a $1000.00!!! Looks exactly like the one in this video.

  • Gorgeous!!

  • Textbook example of potential energy.

  • I bought a '68 new from a local pontiac dealer and it was the same color green but had no vinyl roof. I sold the car 4 years later and bought a '70 455 from the older man who bought it new. It was actually slower than the '68 until I found some Ram Air 4 heads from a 400 cu. inch engine, along with the "cast iron headers". When the engine could finally breathe, it was a monster of a car that would turn mid 13s on street tires. It was still smooth running and a pleasure to drive..

  • @mrhititandquitit69 Different color package on your car. You could have bought a Verdoro Green car with black interior back then.

  • @thedarklord2006

I ordered and took ownership of a 1968 GTO same color as this only white interior and white vinyl top.

Great car, sold it when my wife got pregnant and could not afford the payments.

    Wish I had one now.

  • what cam is it running?

  • Do you know where I can find some good seats with head restraints for a 68 pontiac gto?

  • Love the sound of the cam!! She's beautiful! I love the '68 GTOs. My favorite year & this color green is my favorite too! Very nice!

  • Flawless..... what a beauty. One of the best designs to ever come out of GM, and certainly Pontiac's shining moment.

  • Sweeeeet! I wish I could find our 68 GTO that looked just like this one. My mom sold it about 22 yrs ago to a guy in Tacoma Wa who restored the Goat back into the awesome gem it is!

  • I owned a 68 conv. same color as this one ..except my interior was matching color. I said so then and will now. What was Pontiac thinking when they made that color?? On yours..at least it has a hint of new car shine. When that color age fades it becomes hideous. I still miss that car tho..LOLLL

  • Sounds real good.

  • esta precioso ese motor

  • Well, that would never pass today's noise regulations, would it.

    THANK GOD for old musclecars!!!

  • I'm sick! I had one identical bought in 1976 for $350. Yea, $350!!! Not a scratch on it, 110,000 miles on it. Neighbor decided after a week this wasn't a good first car for his 16year old son. Probably wasn't any better for me at 19, but by the grace of God I'm still alive to be sad I sold it in 1984. 360 HP 400, Muncie M22 close ratio 4 speed, 411 positraction. Now worth about 20 times what I sold it for. They say hindsight is 20/20, but right now, hindight makes me ill.

  • my god! what an amazing car! I had a 68 tempest custom project in that exact color, with a lemans 400. it was much more rusty than this one though. hahaha

  • An example of when GM/Pontiac was really at the top of its game. Fantastic styling, great engines, incredible sound and the epitome of a svelte, sleek muscle car. How did they get it so wrong after this era?

  • I have no Idea but jesus did they have there game together from 64-70

  • very nice

  • Aaaargh! So pretty it makes me ache! The solid sound of that door shutting is almost as sweet as the music from the engine. A real beauty!

  • Amazing. I also have the same car, 400 HO 360 Hp 4 speed, same color combo, same interior without headlight covers, and I added a Tri Power sitting in Minn for many years seldom driven original owner with 38K on the clock.

  • how much are you selling it for???

  • The owner decided he just can't part with this baby so it is no longer for sale at this time - can you blame him? =)

  • Wow, I'm amazed he ever even considered it. The car is absolutely beautiful! Good for him for deciding to hold on to it.

  • Haha an owner with a consceince. I was dumb enough to sell my 71, 6 months later wanted to buy a 69, declined my credit. So I baught new, and 06, built to the hilt right now. Puts down 483wrhp.

  • @VintageSC73

    Not one bit!

  • My faovrite GTO! Those hidden headlights remind me of the Monkeemobile!

All kidding aside, I love that model - and was it ever FAST!

  • if only it was a hardtop
