when this video started with you all outside with your beautiful little daughters i couldn't help but think" i wish they wouldnt do that because i dont think it is what has been presented to them";'....and this is one of the better of the orphanages! i am afraid she spent alot of time crying and unattended like the babies you saw there...praise God she is with you all now and she was saved! Bless you and your family!
Thank you for adopting and caring for her. Abandon of girls is a serious problem in China and the world is a better place because of people like you. As a Chinese, I can also attest that those children should be well fed because the government has enough funds for them. The main problem for those children is not food, but family and love.
This particular institution is sponsored by an American foundation called "Half the Sky" and so there are actually more resources and caregivers available to the children. I can only speak for my daughter, of course, but I can attest that she was well cared for based on the state of her health and development when we received her. I cannot speak for all the orphanages, but this is considered a model orphanage in China.
I just finished watching this video, and I've been getting the feeling that this particular institute is really shorthanded & there just aren't enough staff people for all the kids there. Am I right? If so, this must be happening all over China.
I wish I could bring one of those beautiful babies home and just hug and comfort them. To hear them all crying and there aren't enough adults to pick them up and comfort them when they cry. It's so sad.
First of all, there are no orphanages in the United States. Second of all, the waiting lists for adopting in the US are very long; the kids here are adopted very quickly, even those with severe disabilities. The odds of a couple in their 40's adopting a healthy child in the US is zero. Third to all, your worry about the US first mentality in the end always translates to NOT worrying about the rest of the world at all. Fourth of all, my daughter is about to have her 7th birthday, your comment was
....simply insensitive and ignorant. Do you really believe that God is pleased with your comment? Do you really believe He is displeased with our adopting a child outside the US? Do you think He is please in how quick you are to judge others or how indifferent you are to their feelings when you know nothing about the matter? May the God of us all bless you and all His children everywhere.

Any orphanage in any country should be a TOP PRIORITY! The first 6 years of a childs life is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!
