It must have been devistating for Waylon when his friend and mentor, Buddy Holly was taken (the day the music died-Don Mcclean). Buddy H. put Waylon on stage with the Crickets and produced Waylon's first recording. After the death of Buddy, Waylon was a professional orphan. I commend Waylon for what he was able to accomplish and for becoming the great performer that he was. But for the grace of Divine providence, Waylon would have been taken. Your music will live forever. Buddy would be proud!

Waylon Jennings was the great "Buddy Holly's" bass player just before Buddy died in the plane crash. To me Waylon was a living legyond. He made his mark on the music scene, and was bold enough to at least talk about all the other bullshit that came down over the years. I still admire him. Marc Trainor.
