The energy that you put into this is not free energy, it was potential energy stored in your body from, say that bowl of fruit loops that you ate this mourning which it was converted into kinetic energy when you spun the top. The kinetic energy was then converted to another form of energy (mostly heat and the base of the top through the process of friction, and wind resistance of the mass of the top interaction with the atmosphere surrounding the mass.

I agree magnets are cool. But this isnt free energy or anything. Magnetic fields can take awhile to settle if they are thrown of balance. The reason this isnt free energy is because trying to harness it would offset this movement and the whole thing would settle/fall

Yes, as far as I'm concerned, if you have to 'start' it, its not free energy. The very concept of free energy would mean that it would take effort to ~prevent~ it from moving. If you have to start it, and it spins forever, you have created an 100% efficient machine. If that was true free energy, the second you let go it would begin to spin faster and faster; he obviously had to give it an initial spin. Nice try though!

A spinning magnet is one way to achieve levitation.. Sears the term "levitron" and you will see what I mean.. pretty cool demo man!
