Lately, in Air Classics magazine, Providence Fighters has been advertizing them for 1.8 million, and same seen in "Trade a Plane". They just keep going up in price. But as you say, they are worth it. Hope you have had a ride in one. I have been lucky enough to ride in (and fly) three.
It's hard to believe it, but those Packard Merlins sound even better than the original Rolls-Royce ones.

Lot's of money sitting there! These P51 Mustang's go anywhere from 3/4 0f a million to 1 million dollars a copy! But they are worth every penny!

As a boy in WV in the 1950's I saw Mustangs many times flying and have since seen many restored P-51's...they are indeed the best
