Actually teaching a class and not having all the basic ingredients? This is not for me. Plus, couldn't hear the questions from the students. Come on. Not favoriting any of this person's "classes". This isn'tthe way to teach!
I don't like boxed confectioners sugar because of the cornstarch they add to it. I make my own confectioners sugar without cornstarch. Just put regular granulated sugar in a blender, and mix till you start seeing some powder (like smoke), then it's done. Tastes a lot better than pre-made boxed confectioners sugar.
coffee creamer???? I hate to be critical but I love baking so much and I've watched alot of butter cream making videos. And this by far was the worst,,,This lady seems like a very nice person but it is obvious not one of her better displays of how to make anything today..It seems to me that if you are going to post a Video here on You Tube you would do it prepared with everything that you need lol

honestly, this old lady had major problems. she seemed unhappy and did everything so unprofessional. her attitude was really ugly and the icing on the cupcake was horrible. not enough ingredients, come on! it made me think how bad that cupcake must of tasted; just my thoughts. food such as desserts are made with love and handled with care, which makes us want to embrace the moment we eat the delicious thing.
@LoveBettysWorld You got THAT right. My wife always makes me leave the kitchen if things go awrye until I calm down. She says that she doesn't want to eat trash food prepared by a grizzly bear. She wants wonderful food prepared by a loving bear cub... Russians hold bears dear to their souls... It's a Russian thing but the concept is the same. :-)
I'm one of those who hates critics and I especially hate to critisize since I've never made frosting from scratch, but common sense tells you when you're going to be video taped for others to try and learn from you, the least you can do is have all your ingredients handy and most important, leave the bad attitude outside the room. She looks as though she was forced to do the video and had more important things to do.
Wow, this awful frosting is everywhere. In good videos and bad -really bad- videos. There are definitely better buttercreams out there than the american/simple one. It's often gritty or too sweet and it also often has a greasy mouth feel from the butter (in other variations: the shortening). Crap video, crap recipe. Even if you like this kind of icing there are about a hundred better videos on here than this. They are also better prepared, more informative, and more creative.
