There's actually two versions of Gerard and 9/11. First the famous boat/ferry story, and the other is an interview where he said he was on a subway, and people in it where calling and texting their loved ones when the tragedy happened. Some fans where talking about this a few years back in in an old forum but of course the overprotective MCRmy went nuts on them. Anyways, The point its - Gerard lied about 9/11. He's just using a tragedy to sell his band. I still love My Chemical Romance though.

Yes that is what the song is about, but to me this song is about breaking from a hole i've been in for so long and telling the world i am here and to all those people who judge me for being shy. 'Cave you call a heart' has a thousand meanings for me. The 9/11 was one of the horrific things that the world has ever seen. MCR is one of the best things that world has ever seen.
