you promted me to sign up for youtube...EXTREMELY CREATIVE...you stayed with chaplin's theme...a shoein...but effective..you hitched your wagon to a winning score...I'll check out he Japanese connection (Bill Murray)...you convinced me there's something there... but YOU ARE riding the coattails of a great score with that background music...Great stuff...
Glad you liked it! It's actually all from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
This is really quite an unfinished video... I think there's a lot more I can do with it, and in general it could be more cohesive. But the fact that it moved you tells me I'm on the right track.
I thought I'd hate this--I'm not a fan of mashing up various films and trying to make it cool--but I'm oddly moved by this. Is the opening voice of Jimmy Stewart's taken from the film You Can't Take it With You?
Who's that with Chaplin..looks a bit like jean Arthur. I think the solarization is distracting...but did work with Hoffman's scene for some reason.

Hi all,
The music is taken directly from Charlie Chaplin's "City Lights", and was composed by him.
Thanks for all the compliments!
