I saw USS Whirlwind (PC13) being commissioned at Memphis Tennessee in July 1995.When I mentioned that I was a tankerman with the local towboat refuelling company and had been USN earlier in life,I got a more extensive tour of the ship.Lotta cool stuff to see on those ships.
