Sure its easy to shout catchy slogans like "Free Tibet!" But you have to look deeper to see how China's future is completely dependent on Tibet's resources (namely water). The way China is treating Tibetans and their culture is horrible, but you have to look at the issue from both sides.
Come on people, be logical, a few banners and protesters is NOT going to change the way a DIFFERENT country works. The CCP doesn't give a damn about you hippies, work with them to make the change.
As part of this year's celebration of Buddha's birthday please join us in world wide meditation to bring peace and freedom to all Buddhist in Tibet, Burma and China Please give 10 to 20 minutes of your time on Sunday, May 11th 2008 at noon your local time and join the wave of peace going around the world from east to west.

We are not against chinese people, we are against chinese goverment which we live in exile. Every tibetan haven't forgotten the day ccp took over tibet in 1959. The people in tibet are suffering since 1959. What do really know about tibet? Did you research it? did you read the history of world?
let's not bullshit... it's like saying (You can live rich for life, but you cannot take the wealth when you die)
People need to understand the huge passions and expectations that Chinese have put for the Beijing Olympic game. It is a stupid idea to hijack this game for any political demanding because it will deeply hurt Chinese feeling and push Chinese to the edge to be more united to resist any western idealism even though some of them make sense and work better for the Chinese.
Anyway, you need to convince Chinese that you are the helpers instead of enemies.
Honestly the Chinese have invested far too much into this Olympic event. Part of this has been hype from CCP.
I always used to laugh when my freinds in China a year ago said your coming to the Olympics as if it was an expectation. Its a sporting event. Chinese have hung far more national pride on this event than it warrants. They will be suprized how quickly it will pass and be forgotten.
If China really believes in One World One Dream, they should stop killing Tibetan people trying to live their lives in their own country.
Associated Press reports on 4 April: "In Sichuan Province, Chinese soldiers opened fire on monks marching at local government offices. Dozens are reported killed, and many more injured."

If you guys want to be a chessman and be used by those protesters, nobody will say nothing about your choice, but please don't act like a saint or human with "love", because you are truly not.
Don't try to mess up Olympic game with politics, that's not wisdom.
Are u kidding me amazingkk the olympic games are just a physical non violent repensentation of politics. All countries coming togeather in organised competition. This is a chance for all voices to be equal and heard.I am an 18 year old american and i have been 2 tibet and i no how it is and do u honestly think if they were happy we would even no what was going on there. Actually buying Chinese-made products is not a bad thing, although I would avoid doing business with regime-owned companies if possible. But the more products are sold and prosperous average Chinese people become, the more likely they are to rise up against the neo-communist Beijing regime. Historically it is often when economic conditions improve a bit, and people have a chance to think a bit about larger political issues beyond putting their next meal on the table, that revolutions occur.
I think this trouble that has started in China is a publitical game, between the Tibetans and the Goverment of China. Couple of days before the Olympics being put out on TV, the Tibetans took to the streets of Bejijing and started the riots around Bejijing and the Tibetans are making their voices hard about the Goverment of China is responsible for Human Rights,
after 9/11 2001, all bridges in united states are under tight security and in hight alert. how can it be possible to climb Golden Gate without been caught, go figure!
Well done San Francisco, now go for the Blue Meanies, careful though they're all Peoples Liberation Police, all over 6'3", all para military trained. But you can say what you like to them as they dont speak English !
I JUST READ AND ARTICLE THAT SAID THE CHINESE GUARDS THAT ARE SURROUNDING THE TORCH IN THEIR BLUE TRACK SUIT ARE THE SAME PEOPLE THAT SHOT AT TIBETANS IN TIBET DURING THE PROTEST...SO PEOPLE IN SAN FRANCISCO PLEASE KICK THEIR ASS WHEN THEY COME BY. i just read an article that said the Chinese guards that are surrounding the torch in their blue track suit are the same one that shot at Tibetan in Tibet during the protest...so ppl in San Francisco plzz kick their ass when they come by.
Yes its something I said somewhere myself, the new game is to get the torch and throw it off the bridge or put it out. Great idea - they should bets on which country can get the torch extinguished the most.
Great job! San Francisco used to be one of my favorite cities. By the way, the Chinese blue suited meanies with the torch were described as "thugs" by the British press, and by Sebastian Coe, former Olympic record holder, who said he was shoved three times by these Chinese meanies.
Thanks guys - well done! Thanks especially for disabling ratings, we seem to have a lot of chinese secret police working on YouTube to improve their ratings and Negate everybody elses.

how can they place something great like the olympics, which stands for alot of good in this world, bringing the world together in sportmanship, in a country like China? a country which is so closed, both for the chinese to get a fair view of the rest of the world and for the world to look into? boycot the olymics this summer - yeah sure. boycot all merchendise from china forever - absolutely!!
China's aggression against the Tibetans continues unabated.

The target of the protest in SF should not be the torch but the Blue Meanies - the facist Chinese Secret Police who ran alongside the Torch in London. Who the hell do they think they are they? They have no legal power outside the police state of China and this should be shown by the protesters.
so UK and France are just coward, they know they are secret police, but they still let them in, and let their law and authority be stomped by chinese. use your brain!
