It was a reference to an interview I did with Mike where he pointed out that a lot of other electro bands are selling out by slowly working (real) guitar into a lot of their songs.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's not real guitar in VF's songs. I remember Mike saying something about how his friend Cody programmed the opening riff of "Move Away."
