  • waaaaaaaaaaaaa THIS HELPS ME WITH MY HOMEWORK A LOT OMG THANKS

  • Genius: The ability to get from A to C without going through B.

  • I hate people trying to say everyone can be a genius. For god sakes, genius is a man before his time, not a man knowledgeable about whats been discovered before him. Everything else is a skill, the ability to memorize certain things, the ability to drive, to answer questions on jeopardy or to play chess. It is not genius, just a skill you can teach yourself with repetition. What Tony Buzan teach is the same, just new ways of getting skills, not genius.

  • @OMGunRL And what makes one person doing the same skill different than another person doing the same skill? There are many chess players who are geniuses and play nothing alike... there are many people who drive but so does jeff gordon, whats the difference? It is your skewed view of what a genius is that is stopping you from realizing what genius REALLY is. Laszlo Polgar the father of the thre polgar sisters basically proved that genius is taught, he is the author if bringing up genius.

  • @theuppro You are probably not the smarest tool in the box, therefore you hope genius is taught. Ive seen for example the documentary of the dad that thaught his children how to play chess from an early stage. They are all in top of the world. That was his way to prove that genius is made. But the thing is she is not very good at anything else. True intellegence is for you to have it easier then other to do things AND be a man before your time not super good at some skill.

  • @OMGunRL So according to you genius somehow equates to how easy it is for you to do things. Again, there are people who actually are geniuses and people who know true geniuses, (remember YOU are not the sole authority on what a genius is), who disagree with you. What genius is has been well docuemented by researchers far ahead of your "genius" level of mediocrity.

  • @OMGunRL Consider the fact that according to you genius is having it easier then others to do things. If that is what a genius is then your logic says almost anyone who does anything better than someone else is a genius, therefore genius CAN be taught. What is someone who learns numerous skills and can utilize those skills to make everything he does easier.. is he a genius? He was taught those skills right?

Your own logic determines that genius is taught. go figure.

  • @theuppro As I thought, you are using the only credit I gave you as a proof that your theory is correct and mine is wrong. As I said, genius is first and foremost, the creative ability, and I mean in anything you do. The ability to thing outside the box. People that do so often get better then other people in sports, music what ever. But when trained to play chess from the age of for example 2, and your whole life doesent make you a genius because your better then the rest. Its only practice!

  • @OMGunRL Your reading comprehension is terrible. Nice try though!

  • why do all brilliant learning video's (like this) have to be in such terrible quality? 240p?!

  • if our teacher would have teached mind-mapping as Buzan is teaching in his books I'm reading now, I would have learned a lot more...

  • i wonder how he could even think about this mind mapping ;) great job!

  • bull

  • great job tony.

  • i had a meeting with a pychiatrist who said mental stimulation from the day we are born is a critical timing. Learning is like a snowball compounding over time...

  • @philipjterry Totally agree.

  • it didnt worked on me................wat to do for remembering mind map?lol

  • @shailukala The key words, colours, branches, images, etc. are mnemonics that will aid you in the recall and the retrieval of information from the brain. In other words, these mulitple cues (for example, images) are helpful drivers for an enhanced memory.

  • @shailukala In a similar vein, to recall the mind map in its entirety, we can employ acronyms, the 'story' method (often known as the linking method) or a combination of both to the key words.

  • This is true. Rosetta Stone uses the same concept to teach your brain word recondition with pictures.

  • really inspiring and encouraging stuff

  • Old news for homeschoolers.

  • Ok I felt like a idiot staring at a black screen at the end..... -.-

  • Wonderful. Nice to get away from the ridged, straight line method of tracking a thought and convert back to the analog way the mind actually works. Wow, that teacher needs less coffee and more peace in her life!

  • jesus we totally fail some kids. feel so bad for them, damnnn

  • 2:50 LOL she seems to be sexually unbalanced.

  • lmfao at 2:47 that reminds me of my class rooms..

  • I loved when that teacher freaked out at the kids.

    It was sexy :)

  • sexy, HOW come ??

  • probably her lack of control showing vulnerability men love to nurture dat

  • hahaha, she looked like she was ready to kick some ass.

    That's awesome

  • When I was 17 I believed every1 is smart and no1 is dumb.

I believe every1 cud be einstein and I know I cud be.

I sat at a low school level in holland And Now i am graduating for masters at university for psychology.

You can learn to be a genius just imagine

  • I don't have to proof to people who I am.

Just listen to the message and think.

  • How's your Dutch?

  • lol sometimes i find myself linking concepts and stuf visually. Im not sure i like how mind maps look. I think some of this is mere enthusiasm and willingness to learn as well as high hopes of success.

  • how do u go about with math?

  • Well, mindmapping isn't really usable for math. Maybe you can use it to order the different math disciplines and how they use eachother.

But that's about it, can't really use it for the "real" math.

It's the best method for other things like history for example by far though!

  • You dont know that for sure!

  • i tried mind mapping for a while and it's pretty good.

i think the visuals lead yu brain to connect with related ideas.good for stuff like creating writing

  • I am a medical student, and my question would be how the hell should i mind map anatomy!??

  • well...

have you tried covering your body in maple syrup and let sexy temptresses lick it off?

I'm not saying it will work, but you could try it.

..voila! you just mind mapped your anatomy.

  • When I was studying anatomy, I would create mindmaps of connections between parts...for example, muscle groups and connects to bones in different colors...or put the name of something major in the center and list conditions, modalities and other connected facts around it. Because mindmapping is about how YOU connect ideas, it's really about what serves you. Practice and then see it come.

  • We do it at home when were homescoohling im 12 it kinda works

  • lol...."kinda" is right...

  • I loved the video, but does anyone else think it was a bit harsh on the parents to broadcast on the BBC that their kids' home lives are probably too painful for them to want to pay attention??

  • Yeah, God FORBID they have to face that fact.

  • I am almost in tears to find out this is out here. I feel so happy for the children. I am 52 and just learning. I am so glad Tony is using his GIFT and SHARING. It is so impacting. THANK GOD, and Thank you Tony for this LIFE TOOL.

  • gud one:}

  • thank u for the posting this video's

  • wonderful effort......thanks for posting ...great effort...May God Bless you

  • I can define intelligence, in relation to level of an enlightened genius and define the standard for an interdisciplinary education. Your search is over.
