Yes, my girl is usually scared of new things too... I call her chicken. In this case it started with her coming in when I was brushing my teeth, and trying to get in the way. So I said, you wouldn't like this, would you? But, um, she did. She never chews on toothbrushes anymore, because then the petting stops.
