This is kinda cool. Interesting to see things in a slightly sharper resolution, but... I-... its weird, I just don't like it. It's... lost something. Somehow it lacks personality. This made me realize I LOVE the blocky, pixelated sprites of classic Doom. This version's just another bland looking 3D shooter.

cool the weapons spin on this? my doomgl only replaces the 2d models ov enemies weapons and items but the wolfenstein ss and cyber corpse r still sprites and the textures on the walls and things r the same as the low res pack but its still kinda good but its nowhere near as good as jdoom and when i try putting the hi res pack in the right place it still comes up as 2d HELP MEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have a copy of final doom? If you have "Doom-The collectors edition" of the game, then it should have came with that. If you don't have that, then find your original "final doom" copy (if you have one).

I have no idea :| Sorry. But I think there is an option to configure that I do believe in the start up menu (when you first want to start up jdoom). :)

I downloaded Jdoom but whenever I run it, the game still plays in regular 2d sprites mode so how do I make all the enemies and weapons show up in 3d?

Erm, I havent played on Jdoom for a while but, if there's a menu called "Options" look for an area that deals with Graphics/Gameplay or whatever. I'm sure there's an option called "3D objects" or something.

How can you make the sambo soundpack work on Doomsay Kickstart cause that's what i use, same thing as Doomsay engine.

Just go to the little "ADD" button on kickstart and locate the directory/file wherever its located. But make sure your using it for the correct version of doom. Also to add it to several of the doom games you'll have to do the process 1 at a time =)

Have you inserted the files into the wad? By this I mean going to add (the little box next to remove) and finding the file you want to use and insert it into there? Other than that I would suggest checking which ports the mod is compatible for and/or what version of doomsday. Hope this helps! :D

This isn't really a doom remake, you have to own Doom already to play it. It's just high res textures and 3d models, and jDoom is a windows port of Doom with extrra features. If you don't have Doom then you can get FreeDoom. If this "doom_remake.exe" comes with a doom.wad or something, I think I'll be a little sad inside. :(

you need either, doom shareware (doom 95), ultimate doom, doom 2, final doom and thats it. get the collecters edition. you get much of this apart from freedoom. and i think this comes with a doom wad. depends on what you mean though
