I have the PS2 version, and I can honestly say that it is true to the board game, since it's extremely fun, and adds twists and newer styles, yet keeps the classic gameplay. I have to say I prefer the PS2 version over the board game just because I HATE cleaning the money up and sorting everything into its box. I would recommend buying any Monopoly game on a console (or the board game) since you will go back to it.

Well I tried this game on the PSP and it's the exact same thing and I do emphasize exact,same thing. But so far as the voice thing goes,your voice is very amusing actually. "And the dice roll's didn't seem realistic at all" But overall this game kinda suck's and it is pretty boring,only time i'd end up with this game is if I would download it as a Iso and play it like I do DragonBallz budakai tenkaichi 3,mario striker's charged and mario super slugger's,This game is only worth a free download.

I'm so glad I watched this and found out that it forces you to play with 4 players when you play alone. I really enjoyed the NES version playing solo against the computer and never liked playing with multiple opponents. You just saved me the money I would have spent on this game, thank you so much!

There are so many versions of video game monopoly out there for almost every major system. It's ironic but the best version is probably the NES version. It's the only one I can think of where the pacing wasn't ruined by animations that took forever between turns. It also has a pleasant yet minimalistic interface for better longterm viewing.

One way to improve your videos dramatically so the voice doesn't grate so much: change the inflections at the end of your sentence. You sound like a newsreader going off the auto-queue much too fast. Slow it down, change some inflections (not always high to low as the sentence progresses) and I think you'll find a huge improvement.

Heres how to play against just one computer player: After you choose your human player, when choosing the computer players there is a button above there icon that says easy skill. click the arrow next to this to change it medium skill, again for hard skill and again for none. If on none then you skip to the next player and. Repeat for the other computer players.

This game is ok but the board is so small i really have trouble seeing it. And the lack of online multi player is such a shame.

Great review, I have this game, and I agree with your thoughts. Yes it gets really boring if you're playing by yourself and the time to go through the other player's turns takes too long. I can't really tell how much something costs in a small icon as you said too. I have to squint at the TV. I know about the luck too, I went from $7000 in Richest to $0 due to luck in TWO rounds...hehe. It's enjoyable, but the details need a little work.
