He is a seikh who lives and breathes his spiritual connection. He lives in Los Angeles, composes wondrous CD's and teaches profound, but simple kundalini concepts. Visit him if you are able; it will be a moving experience.
Is it me or do these guys remind you of kids playing dress-ups. They see themselves as being really up there and that might be true within there own circle, but what do they look like to the rest of the world. I heard most of them are lapsed jews - pretending to be Punjabi.
the true way showed.what sikhi teache's is actually to praise GOD,earn a honest living, share with the less fortunate your earning's and to stay clean in mind and body. But it is easier to make up ritual's and perform those than follow the true PATH.nothing lead's to GOD more than that but if anyone dis-agree's then i am happy to hear.
Rituals are basically a physical expression or process that is used to facilitate a particular frame of mind, state of consciousness, or perspective. The problem is that people often become attached to the ritual aspect of the practice to the degree that it becomes more or less like a chore. But people should also remember that there are inner methods of practice which bypass ritual altogether and allow an individual to switch directly into the intended state of consciousness at will.
interesting....sikhism is not ritualistic.GURU NANAK was against ritual's so why would he put he's sikh's back in to them?rehit maryada has become a ritual because it is mis-understood.
in the british army soldier's have to have a certain haircut, get up at a certain time and follow a certain regime it is not a way to heaven but keep's one disciplined and stop's laziness setting in.that is the meaning behind rehit.people allway's find way's to show their religious i.e ritual's without practicing

'I met with the Guru by great, good fortune. He is Unfathomable and Infinite.
Holding me by the hand he pulled me out of the world's sea of poison.
Through the Guru's Word, I was rid of recurring births and deaths.
I will not pass through the gate of pain (reincarnation) again.'

thats true Dharm47, but the main reason for Rehat Maryada is so that we can live exactly as our father Guru Gobind Singh, in complete excellence.
