Sharky kept on getting injurys and never made the National team. She got close many times but it never came together. I think in 2006 she quit competiting elite and started going toward NCAA. She now competes for Denver.

It's so sad that she and others were very talented and in the end their sacrifice wasn't enough. So many gymnasts out there want the same thing: Olympic gold. Unfortunately only a few gymnasts out of the hundreds make that dream come true. But they all have a successful gymnastics career even if it doesn't include an olympic gold.

Actually Tia Orlando made it the furthest, Nicolle had to withdraw from Olympic trials because of an  injury where as Tia competed but didnt make the team. But yeah Geralen Stack eaton is still going and came 6th at nationals which is really good, but she hasnt made it the furthest yet.

Parkettes is a gym in Allen Town Pennsylvania which is know for being one of the best gyms in America they strive to be the best and do everything they can to be they have a about hour long doccumentary that appeared on CNN in 2003 featuring Sharky, Annie Fogerty, Krista Jasper, Nicole Harris, Tia Orlando and many other big elite gymnast at that time they have had many sloppy routine and almost alway have injured girls at the meets but all in all they can still be a great gym

Well, what happened was she just never had the MIND to become an olympic champion. She never really had the strength to block out mistakes that have happened in her past. And yes, she sometimes did hurt herself. Escpecially doing double back layouts. I think I am accurate, but I might not have enough detail for you to really fully understand all of her career! :)

With so many injuries and accidents, it doesn't seem like it was a good idea for her to keep on performing. Performing while injured can lead to long term medical problems as an adult. I hope she kept competing because SHE wanted to and not because her coaches or parents wanted her to. Sad.
