  • I wouldn't wish the past 4 years that I have lived on my worst enemy. PTSD sucks.

  • I wouldn't wish the past 4 years that I have lived on my worst enemy. PTSD sucks.

  • What if there aren't any physicians available let alone specialists? Wait and develop Social Phobia???

  • What if you aren't miltary?

  • @MiceElf2 You don't have to be military to have "PTSD." Iraq war combat vet here.

  • Can someone tell me why I keep doing this?

Recently, my Trauma and S Abuse councilor told me that she thinks that I have PTSD. Every time I am close to success, I run from it. I want to stop doing that, but I just can't.

  • fuck the help,,, they said i have ptsd, no wait High ptsd,, now there saying i have anxiety WTF.. how u go from High ptsd to anxiety? those are effin different.. they dont give fuck..... the only help there is for us is ourselfs and those who know and seen what we done.....

  • ptsd is an anxiety disorder

  • @zapata189er PTSD and anxiety go together. PTSD is an anxiety disorder

  • Go for EMDR treatment mate. Eye Movement Desensitivity Reprogramming. I have had it and it really makes a difference. I was heavily Hypervigilent when I got the treatment and it worked and brought it me down straight away. Ask your doctor for it. Good luck!

  • gosh i hate ptsd ive had it for 3 years and i can never get fucking help! the mental health centers keep failing me saying i dont qualify. dose any body know how hard it is to keep all uncontrollable emotions inside with out showing them? its so hard , its a curse and im sick of it, its horrible! fuckin flash backs! i hate it!

  • If you are military then they are obligated to help you with this. If they won't help, then contact a professional specializing in PTSD and see what they suggest to help you along. You need to find a way to let out your emotions and, at a minimum, talk to a friend about what you are going through. If you want to detail anything, please feel free to message me privately. Remember, you're not alone :)

  • I know how u feel mate, I was psychologically abused by my father till I was 13 years old, Im 19 now and doctors told me I have PTSD...I can't think of anything else but my past,I need something to keep my mind away of the memories! It's really hard, I'm tryin not to lose my will to live, but I really don't care about my life!Everytime I go to sleep, when Im alone, when Im not busy my past comes out,Im asking my friends to tell me a funny joke so It could go away, you don't need a war to get it.....

  • @thatmetalsoldier Have you been able to get assistance as yet? I understand your frustration since I have experienced something similar (not quite the same but similar).

I also suffer from PTSD. It's NOT a party!

  • @thatmetalsoldier I having been dealing with PTSD since i was 7 years old, I am now 30 soon to be 31. it suxs but it is your disability next time they do not help report there asses! they are discriminating! they will help people with everything else. this country is just now strating to realize what this is! it is horrible, i take paxil it is great for preventing the flashbacks, and helping with the suicidal thoughts, and the smells. paxil and buspar have helped me alot

  • After 21yrs of front line policing, I have now developed PTSD finally following the gruesome death/murder of a colleague in my presence. Thankyou very much for the video, the song and most of all the comments. It meant an awful lot the words, 'you are not alone', as I feel very alone on duty as no-one seems to understand (usually they are the type who have done very little in their service and not confronted very much in the way of bad guys). Thanks mate!!!

  • This touches a nerve so common to many people. Many who aren't even aware of what is wrong with them. thank you.

  • I had a childhood of various traumas such as abuse, having guns put to my head, seeing violent death on more than one occasion. I lived, undiagnosed, like an empty shell, not relating to most people for years until I had a breakdown trying to be normal and ignore the crippling disorder that gripped my entire being. I slowly got better with rest, avoiding ongoing stress and counselling...hey, I actually finally moved to a place where a 'bang' was not a gunshot...!

  • been there, had that, got better (it did take years)

  • also add to symptoms---sleep disturbances such as nightmares, sleep talking (screaming), walking; heightened phobias; panic attacks; and fear, fear, fear

  • Watch on you tube! A Call to Arms: Breaking the Silence!!!

    Tell your friends about it!

Send it to everyone you know!!

Copy and paste this message to high traffic channels!!!

    And finally DONATE!!!

  • No your definately not alone X!

  • Im emt/firefighter, I think I might have ptsd. Not all the symptoms but some. I have alot and I mean alot of sadness from some things I have seen and delt with. Being an emt I think has alot to do with it. I've personally known a young boy that died in a car incident. Worked on or dealt with young teens in accidents that lead to death. I know I haven't seen the worse. I dont do emt any more but I do firefight. Any time something reminds me of past call or incidents I get really down. Not for me.

  • Hey dude I Have PTSD, but I can tell you... I dont think you have it. Dont worry.... It's a shame that your sad about it. You have a right to be. If you have PTSD you really know about it. Its called a disorder for a reason! Keep up the good work dude!

  • nicely done good info as well

  • wow. i know how hard this is. just recently i have been diagnosed with ptsd and depression. its hard sometimes. ive always had the symptoms since i was abt five. but recently they have lead me to cutting my self this isnt very healthy and so i got help and now im working with it once a week.

  • As you say ... "pain is just weakness leaving the body." It will take time and determination to move beyond the depression that comes from PTSD ... remember always you are not alone!!!

  • haha yeah i know. its really REALLY hard. and thanks also for tellin me that im not alone!

  • might i have PTSD? every symptom on there matchs me, but wouldent think i have PTSD...but the one thing that got me was "not being able to feel love or happiness" because i cant, people always call me psyco because i dont respond sadly to someone dieing...

the only thing so far ive expeireinced is i seen some chinese guy skin dogs alive...and they were still moving around with their skin off...could that give me PTSD? im joining the marines in a month also...could PTSD get worse after combat?

  • I'm not a psychologist; I am a critical incident stress manager and worked primarily with emergency services workers as peer support (incl. military). PTSD is a reaction to stress and some have a PTSD reaction to even a single incident. If you think you're matching a lot of the symptoms here, I'd urge you to talk to someone especially since combat situations can exasberate the condition. Thanks for wanting to serve our country! Keep well & stay safe!

  • oh alrighty, thanks, and your welcome, ive wanted to be a marine for years, i love this country too much to not do anything for it,

ima try to go marine recon (special forces) if i can, that would be the ultimate best way to serve, because your always doing something to protect america when your in the special forces. anyways thanks claudia

  • USMC does NOT have Special Forces. Recon is NOT Special Forces. They are a Special Operations force. Special Forces is strictly Army. Good luck with whatever you choose to do in the Marines.

  • Yes, i know but itis in the "spec ops" category so, to simplify it i just said "special forces" so people would atleast understand what i said.

  • Please dude... Do not join the forces! Please! I have PTSD and I know... Did you even watch the video? I dont know how old you are, but you sound like your young.

Listen, I uesd to think like you. But when the shit hits the fan, you are not as strong as you think you are! I cannot stress that enough! Please dont fuck up your life before its even started! IT PHYSICALY HURTS! YOU DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE IN THE MATTER!

  • @worldwar2history yes it can! anything traumatic even things you do not remember can cause it!

  • just put toghether very well and speaks to the need to reach out and make a difference to the emergency services and military...an awesome well done job...firefighterveteran
