SUBLIME SUBLIME SUBLIMEEEE, SHAKATAK...GRACIAS POR ESTOS GRANDES REGALOS....ESTA CANCION SIN MENOS PRECIAR SUS DEMAS CANCIONES ES MI CANCION FAVORITA....NO PUEDO DECIR MAS....ES UNA EPOCA Y ES MI VIDA, WOOW...GRACIAS TOTALES!!!!
This song gives me good memories from my youth years, especially my college years ... Thank you so much for posting this wonderful and beautiful song !!!
My dad has this album which is why I was exposed to this awesome music during my early childhood days. I kept on wondering why I know the words or at least the beat, it's because my parents were listening to this while my mother was pregnant with me.
My favourite track of this album, which I would possibly call my favourite among all the Shakatak CD's........it brings back tons of good memories. I have one or 2 "shakatak sounding" own tunes in my channel, should you feel curious to check.......
@Tom3030 Yes it is, it was just to show how much of an influential band Shakatak can be, glad you liked it ..... I have more or less the full discography on vinyl, although I'm missing all those japanese releases....
thats nuffin. every morning my dog woke up her would sing Green Green Grass of home and every night he went to sleep he would hum Delilah. I took him to the vet an dhe reckons he got Tom Jones syndrome. I said will he die from it and he replied its not unusual
Cant believe it, my dog ate a shakatak cd but started barking the song "easier said than done", even dancing in an 80's doggy style whilst barking it and to top it off he had a doggy kind of mullet 80's hair style. Its true, he sadly died getting run over by an icecream van but thats 80's icecream vans for you they always drove too fast playing 3 blind mice loud on the tannoy.
i had the record album in 84' loved it then sold albums to buy cd ,s failed to replace it sadly .now it,s available on amazon for stupid money.! i had down on the street to same thing with that.lovely blonde jill on vocals like manhattan transfer sexy ladies with great voices!!
i like this....i vaguely remember the jazz station here in ATL playing shakatak....this is a nice album...but this song really has a nice vocal/smooth jazz mix
I was wandering around Soho in London, this was blasting out from a neon lit bar, there was a girl and a heavy on the door, and it just seemed so right.
my next door neighbour's cousin used to work in a shop opposite the house of the lead guitarist's brother. She never actually met him though, although she saw him once.
I remember my uncle having this on an old 80's audio cassette. great song. i also remember the neighbours dog eating the cassette and then barking 'dark is the night' after it. i kid you not...
@superstrut75 the dog was barking in the usual way that dogs do and, sad at losing the tape, your uncle only thought his mutt was barking the eponymous words. if you or I burped in a certain way it would sound like the name of the Span ish footballer Raul.
@Bryteraven They played Dark Is The Night at the dogs funeral as a mark of respect. I can still see the curtains closing in the crematorium with Shakatak blaring through the PA.
That pretty song! like being able to forget those sounds the Shakatak grouping, with the beautiful voice of the gorgeous Jill Saward! this song is of five stars!
this is so sublime u cant touch this with anything today it doesnt come close or even round the edges

Nice track, as a kid I saved money to buy the single, those where the days...

I love to think of titles while listening to the track.
I try to receive the transmission of music and interpret it according to the title.
great claim is to seek to know the artist in this way.
But these large groups, always gives me that feeling of night, inspired in the dark
city.
And I love their music and their ideas as their own because I love the city at night. I love night

Yes, metalbearuk, is perhaps talking about a black 'lady of the night' in Soho. 'Dark' is the night. Red light, dark night.

This track got me into Shakatak.
I was wandering around Soho in London, this was blasting out from a neon lit bar, there was a girl and a heavy on the door, and it just seemed so right.
The whole album this is taken from is superb too.
