  • HYVÄ SUOMI!:)

  • These are great technics. Great stuff you are training. But there is no need to show every move till the end. Simply because there is many, many people out there trying to be as cool as you are. However, they have no clue of how much they might harm someone. Once the damage is done, there's no way back! Show it inside your group, with all advice necessary.

  • I liked the video a lot, although I'm not really of fan of going to the ground (even if it is important to learn if we need to defend against that). I could also do without the gun disarmament, but oh well... Even so, all the other parts of the video are very good. From the strikes, to the throws and joint locks.

Just a quick question... Why the name hokutoryu?

  • @k0ns0l3 Hokutoryu ju-jitsu is a Finnish Jujutsu style. Word ''Hokutoryu'' can be translated to english from japanese roughly; north star style.

  • @oijauho Yes, I know that it is a Finnish Jujutsu style. My former kickboxing coach already had told me about your style, that was why I was looking for videos of it :)

I know it means north star (or more accurately it refers to the Big Dipper constelation). Is there any meaning to this, related to Finland? Or... Is it related to "Fist of the North Star"/Kenshiro? :P

  • My only negative comment is how often they go down while taking down their opponents. Just hope they don't have a friend near by to come kick your head in while you're busy grappling. Drop them and kick them while they're still down, them move on quickly.

  • Why is there a AK-47 in the background at 2:46???

  • @Skumbanan312 this school is in Finland, which is next to Russia. Considering the AK is made in Russia and the AK is the most popular assault weapon on earth; it makes sense for them to be familiar with that weapon

  • Good demonstration despite those cheesy lines and cardio training, but very potential mixed martial art and self defense training

  • KILL ARMAN!!! 0:54 1:03

  • class with shihan Vatar, is awesome

  • nice moves, but full contact in training? at least i need my brain... :)

  • @24sevenmtb that was real match

  • Excellent video, and I agree with Streetefective. I note quite a bit of dissention within the comments, and it's nonsense...ramblings posted by folks with no videos of themselves doing anything showing they know anything (I take that back, there is some knot-tying), and complaints about it being "rough." I for one enjoyed this, and thank you for posting.

  • @HyokaiJuJutsu Great videos!!

  • @HyokaiJuJutsu good stuf man :)

  • Visit us!

    Hyokai Ju Jutsu from Serbia.

    Dusan Isailovic...

  • FUCK BJJ ! THIS IS GREAT!

  • This entire video is rubbish; some of these tries and joint manipulations were definitely Japanese Jujutsu, but a lot of this is totally incorrect. The samurai wore full suits of armor, it was light weight leather armor at about forty pounds, but it still made it difficult and unlikely that a samurai would ever kick above the belt. These crescent kicks to the face and flying side kicks an all thy is completely NOT Japanese Jujutsu. Secondly, this dojo looks disgraceful it looks like the sens

  • @Prepared2Live

You're right, this is not Japanese ju-jutsu but Hokutoryu ju-jutsu. But judging senseis and other people by a trailer of the sport is ignorant to say the least.

  • @Prepared2Live ._. do u have a problem or are u just jealous?

  • hahaa can't wait to my first training to start!

  • Arman käveli muuten vastaan sillä viimeisimmällä turun leirillä :D

  • @kokakola44 Olin kanssa ite siellä

  • Always blows my mind :D

  • Arman oranssilla vyöllä 0:53 ja 1:03 :D

  • flag for faggotry.

  • After watching this video I am ashamed to say that i Practice jujutsu,

First of all: "full contact", "no Bullshit" aggressive style is an insult to the style

Second: seeing rushed and hard tequinikess (sorry for the spelling) is digusting to see and someone writhing in pain in the dojo should never happen

your traing partner is someone that you should respect and not throw around like a doll, they have been nice enough to let you use there body to train with.

  • @TheGeneralSkater Real fighters train with resistance.. not opponants who LET you do the techniques

  • 2:35 Guess what other surprises you'll find in a Finnish dojo...

  • hei tietääkö ketään ketä on treeneissä käynyt onko usein noita ase tekniikoita ??

  • looks like the least disciplined form of martial arts. hmm

  • ONLY Exhibition

  • o yeeaaa

  • can anyone tell me why jujutsu is not as popular as other martial arts? i don't know much about it but i'd like to learn more

  • that looks tough! No padding whilst sparring... wow

  • simply fantastic .. I'm not very lucky not to live near you. Unfortunately I'm Italian and here do not much room for martial arts .. really great! would be a dream to live with your mindset .. ;) really special. greetings from jake .. I jacopo_91@msn.com id ..

  • i thought jujutsu dont have kicks and punches

  • @muipo0 yes, striking is involved in jujutsu. Many times you must strike someone in order to soften them in order to pull something off. Take their mind off of what it is already on. Vital areas in almost every text that is written are included.......and also consider weapons being involved as well.

  • @muipo0 Both Judo and Jujutsu have always had kicks and punches. It's called "Atemi-Waza," meaning "striking technique."

  • @44excalibur Yes, you're right but in Judo it's a Kata and not practiced often. In Ju-Jitsu (aka JuJutsu) it's practiced weekly.

  • @muipo0 also this is a slightly modified version

  • real jujitsu...much better than that ground judo they call bjj

  • Great video! Very realistic training.

  • Very interesting. One of the most complete systems I've seen. Techniques from BJJ, Judo, Kickboxing, Karate, Muay Thai knees, Krav Maga etc. The most important thing today is to be a complete fighter. A well-rounded fighter. Very interesting, good job!!

  • wow... great tutorial... very nice work!

Muuten aivan mahtava video =)

  • @PuhKiller kutakuinkin kaikkien lajien alkeiskurssiharjoituksiin voi osallistua ilmaiseksi ainakin muutaman viikon verran. Edistyneempien harjoitusten seuraamisesta kannattaa kysya kyseisen seuran ohjaajilta.

  • 2:47 ITS THE BALLS RIPPER!

  • @traquino

    Here catch! haha

  • It is about time I saw a real JuJitsu School on You Tube!!!!!

Thanks for finally showing these American MMA / BJJ guys what it's suppossed to look like.

Great job guys, have fun, train hard, and be safe.

  • Hokutoryu ju jutsu just gives you the tools for self defense is up to you how to use it...

Martial arts is not only about tecniques it`s also about people...

    Hokutoryu ju jutsu rocks

  • I'm part of the Hokutoryu in Ecuador... I said Hello to our community around the World. Saludos

  • can someone please tell me what song is being used in this video?

  • @INSANESUICIDE big rock - kevin macleod

  • For what purpose do they have an AK-47 there?

  • It is also practiced by the Finnish military...

  • @Musha0 beacuse its fun?

  • @Musha0 -.- dumbass

  • WTF??! have not seen this sort of ju-jutsu before but I think this feels angry and not as respectfull as the other ones?? I mean they are giving kicks and hits when holding the opponent and in the defence they learn how to kill!! (3:30)

  • wait.. so what you're telling me is that if some asshole tries to attack me or kill me.. i have to justify using harmfull and deadly techniques in self defence? yeah that makes sence..

what we learn in Krav Maga is ''if they attack you, don't even think twice about breaking something on them, after all they attacked you''

    make sence?

  • @INSANESUICIDE no I dont think it does if you are going to learn self defence then you as well learn how to put them down on the ground without cutting their throught!! Have you ever heard about ju-jutsu kai!! And with the hitting when holding I think that is mostly bad in competing accations!!

  • @Freogeteknet Lots of asses in youtube.

  • @velhonen there sure is!! ^^

  • That's why you have to practice for a long time to be fast and the techniques to be smooth.

  • But all of the techniques assume that the opponent is going to do just one thing, like throw a straight punch. If I were to attack someone I would be throwingcombinations of punches, kicks and knees, and Hokutoryu wouldnt work against that.

  • yeah like you´re going to use a bjj flying arm bar in a street fight :D:D

  • Suhtee näyttävää ja aika pitkälle kaiken kattavaa.

  • jep

  • ave ja risto näyttää väh mallii :)
