@fabiuh991 those jerks!! it used to be free! I just checked, and you're right, the flowchart version has a price! I'll keep my eyes open for you though
@kdarrah1234 Do you think that Atmel should make the ATmega1280 in a dip package? I think it would be cool. You would need to put it in a zif socket, or have to pull it out with a screwdriver, but it would eb east to use!
@kdarrah1234 40 pin? as in 40 I/O? The 1280 as a dip would be like 90 pins! It would eb hard to put in and out, but thats why god gave is miscles and srewdrivers, or zif sockets.
ive been looking for the flowchart ide and it seems it's not free..
am i wrong?

Thanks for your videos, a good summary of the available micros.
Do you need a frequency for all of the PicAXE chips?
I know some have room for a spare, or to overclock, but don't the e.g. 08m and 18m2 have the crystals built in?
(was thinking of buying those models)

The 18F4550 has USB (the PIC24FJ64GB002-I/SP) have USB in hardware, and they are DIP!!!
If you use the PIC16F877, you can use the PIC16F887.
The new PIC18F45K22 is good too.
You should check the Propeller (from Parallax), super super microcontroller, with 8 processors in it (multi-micro).
