I agree with ya Justin. Ranma is what got me into anime too (pokemon and yugioh don't really count). It's a shame that Rumiko Takahashi doesn't continue this, since Inuyasha was so popular.
You know Justin, if it wasn't for the fact that you were limiting the episode to just the Sufami titles you could have done a review of Ranma 1/2 Battle Rennisance on the Playstation one.
Ranma 1/2 is the Anime that got me into Anime. It's the only one I really stay involved with, I've loved it for over 10 years. I'm glad to see it getting some love out there elsewhere. The games weren't always great, but the story of the Anime/Manga is one of my favorite of all time.

In my opinion all the Super Famicom Ranma 1/2 sucked (unlike the show) they were no Street Fighter 2 slow and unresponsive and the puzzle game is just a port of Puyo Puyo and I didn't need a Super Famicom I just cut the tabs out the SNES cartridge slot and you think these games are bad the ones made for PC Engine TurboDuo Super CD-ROM & PSX suck just as hard. I bet the lady who made Ranma 1/2 (and also InuYasha) hates them too Also the InuYasha games are just a worse as these Ranma 1/2 ones.
Did you know that the third SuFami fighting game almost got released in English as "Ranma 1/2: Anything Goes Martial Arts"? There were ads for it in EGM and they even planned to use the actual dub cast for the game, but Rumiko Takahashi hated what DTMC did to her characters (that dub wasn't THAT bad, IMHO) and also DTMC went under.
I was hoping you would release a video on the Ranma 1/2 games, can you read minds? D8 I loved the series too; So I tried playing some of the games, like the second one you were talking about. Had no idea what the hell was going on and apparently I totally suck at fighting games. I'm glad you explain a little bit about how to play the game. back in those days it was a stateside fan war between viz video releasing Ranma 1/2and pioneers tenchi muyo those were the two main anime back in the 90's in the us that had its large fan base but at about 26 bucks a dub and 30 bucks a sub it was hard to collect both unless you watch a shitty fansub or had friends that let you borrow or a video store that rented anime
Loved Ranma 1/2 played the games non-stop (though in hindsight Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura was the better series IMO - I used to collect loads of that, I've got every novel in Japanese as well as the ultra rare anime comics.)
But anyhoo, yeah Ranma 1/2 was an awesome game, though the PAL version was screwed up, they messed up the characters names for some reason, like Shampoo was renamed Bamboo Etc. No idea why.

It seems more to me like the Janken game is more like a clone of Puyo Puyo then Columns, but that's just my personal opinion.
