1. Them speaking in German - It is standard that the band speaks English during the show no matter where you are, for the American market.Kiske and Gamma Ray care more about their German fans then about the American market!

4.Kai dropping his guitar

5. Kiske walking around casually during the dramatic finish.

While his bass playing was always top notch, if Grosskopf would have quit for someone as good of a guitarplayer as Roland in 1988 instead of Kai, then I don't think he would have been very missed in the history of Helloween. He's only written a handful of songs over all the time he was in the band, so obviously it's gonna be much tougher to miss Grosskopf rather than Kai or Kiske.

Grosskopf is the Helloween. It's like Iron Maiden without Steve Harris. Both are awesome (well can't compare no one to Harris abilites to write a song) but it wouldn't just have any soul, nothing. While Helloween still lives and have fine without Kai/Kiske

I disagree completely though, I love Ingo's drumming but Uli or Dani are just as good drummers, and I fully believe that Grosskopfs bass playing could also have been replaced more easily than Kai. When Kai left, Helloween lost a leader, one of the two best song writers, the lead guitar player, and the guy who made sure they had a chemistry in that line-up. That's a lot more than you can say about Markus.

Markus kept band alive with Weikath. He made Helloween what is it now. Kai was replaced with Sascha, and he is also very good, his riffs and solos songwriting skills also (Who is Mr. Madman?). Grapow? (The Dark Ride). And don't tell me Deris sucks or cant replace cause he is much better when he sings HIS songs, from his era which is totally differente and not much worse, but possibly better They are still Helloween and you can hear it anyway.

Yeah, but you can't compare them with Kai, Kai spent only a short time in Helloween and his songs are STILL being played by this line-up, Future World, I want out, March of time, Ride the sky... Yeah, Deris sings his songs good, meanwhile it's awful hearing him sing Eagle fly free, I want out, Keeper of the seven keys etc, because those songs were made for Michaels voice. Meanwhile, Kiske wouldn't fit as well as Deris on a song like Mr Madman or Dark Ride.

KOT7K and EFF is nice on Deris voice, he sang it well. No matter if its Kai or Deris. And is played by this line-up cuz this is Deris tribute to Kai. They all pay respect to him as a band-creator. and they STILL PLAY THEM along their songs. This is STILL HELLOWEEN. without Kai and Kiske :) Short time... but he is the creator same as Grosskopf and Ingo and Weikath. What abouts TOTO that is tribute for Ingo? Same as they play songs from Kai era as a tribute to him.

To me it's nowhere near what it's like when Kiske sings them, and I think it's more the fact that so many people love those songs rather than a "tribute" to anyone or anything. Weikath is thoroughly sick of playing Dr Stein, but they still do it because they have to. To me, the best Helloween died in 1989, but I still respect the "new" Helloween, but it's a different one for sure. I respect Weikath damn much as a songwriter, but he himself has said that the Keeper line-up was thebest

@jwillborg It's a difference, cause Kiske was such a innovation for a Kai. He have a clean beautiful voice, while Kai have this graspy one. Deris is much closer to Kai than Kiske, thats why it sounds like that. But instead of going his voice he try to imitiate Kiske which is somewhat-good, when he should go like Kai, dont change his voice, either technique. For me best line-up is with Grapow and Kusch. MOTR, TOTO, BTR, TDR are pure magic. Rabbits a little bit, rest is just hard

Yeah, but that's what it comes down to; taste. For me, The Keeper albums will always be the prime of Helloween, but I love some of the albums after that. It's a very different band to me, but it's still good music, and that's what counts.

and for me Keepers is... Other Helloween. existing only for short of time. 2 Keepers comparing to already.. 9 albums?. Helloween has been taken by Deris, and for me always Master of the Rings and Time of the Oath will be prime, and true Helloween. the best one.

I think so too that he should. Despite Keepers being so good, I still very much prefer MOTR and TOTO, but almost none songs of them are played. Why they are sticking? Only because of tribute to Kai, and prolly some tribute to Ingo. We should make a petition for Deris-era tour :)
