It was nice of somebody to mention the groom's name at the end, for a change. Grooms get no recognition in the afternoon, however if the horse is injured, the groom gets the blame and/or has the horse taken away from them and given to another. The groom spends more time taking care of the animal than any other person. Next time a stakes race is won, if it's a big enough race, watch and see if the owner and/or trainer doesn't take hold of the horse to parade it around in the winner's circle.

Totally agreed upon. I know a lot of grooms, and they deserve way more credit for the work they do, although, at least in my country, the grooms that do their jobs well are at least highly respected by the trainers and/or owners. giving them the feeling they are a part of the team.

I think she can do it, but she's gonna have her work cut out for her. They said Zenyatta had no chance at winning the Classic in '09, but she did. As for Uncle Mo, he'd be MUCH better off in the Dirt Mile. He's not going to get an easy, relaxing, controlling pace in the Classic. To Honor And Serve, Ruler On Ice, and Game On Dude won't let that happen. Prayer For Relief is my sleeper. I like him. Anyway, If Grace can do it, then she's really going to cause a commotion,

I like 'Grace, I really do. I just don't think she'll stand much of a chance in the Classic. Especially with the two Repole colts, Flat Out, So You Think, and Game On Dude at his peak?? She doesn't really stand out in this field. She's a great horse, lover her to death, but I think she'd do better either in the Ladies Classic or MAYBE even the Dirt Mile

@IRSstables I'm with you on this^^; I LOVE Havre too, she's really a great horse...but I'm not sure she'll be able to beat Mo if he's at his beat and if he can handle the distance. But I think she can come maybe...3rd, we'll see, we just never know, especially considering how weak this year is for older horses

@Elvira237 oh deffinatly! she's my 6th choice, she'll run good at the top, but she'll fade. but like I said before, she could be a record setter! but the younger horses have a very HIGH competition this year! Especialy Union Rags! He's a GREAT horse already!
