Jimmy Hensley in 1993. He was okay, another guy in the same wreck was not, he had a basilar skull fracture when he hit the wall head on at nearly full speed, but he is doing well now and still races sometimes at local short tracks.

Well the C.O.T. has new safety features that are able to protect the driver more. Not only that, but these cars are made to break up like around the driver much like regular cars b/c it's safer than having them jam together around the driver. I have to say though, I don't care much for the look of the new cars that hey use for Nascar.
