@Phobosuchus1 it is less likely in drinking water if you life in a town or city as water is treated with chemicals and may contain flouride, etc. But they do live in fresh water environments, ponds, lakes possibly puddles even.
@Phobosuchus1 Yes got this specimen from a swamp. on drop of water under my microscope can sometimes yield a few dozen of these size microbes in this video I'm just looking at a small part of the total slide. I find ponds are best for specimens, there are many different kinds found in ponds.
