I wouldnt worry about it. Holding a camera can really exaggerate the turbulence. It inst is bad as it looks. Besides, its what makes flying fun! Definitely do it. You wont regret it.
Wow!! That was tense! You're not bullshitting about the turbulence either. I know that sound that the prop makes when you're getting hit with crazy winds like that, especially when it hits hard enough to make the stall horn sound off. Centerline or not, I'm amazed you made the runway the first try! Man, flying right next to the side of a mountain! Awesome! Thanks for posting!
Flyer10 take your hand off your big veiny cock!!!- are you the typer of fuckwit that has a blue immitation flying jacket with lots of pens in the sleeve pocket?
Bugger that for a joke :) Mind you, I took a 172 into Wellington a few weeks ago and it was 340 deg 36G40 and boy was it rough! The flight manual flew up out of the seat pocket and hit the ceiling and disintegrated :-)
wow that must have been crazy

Not a bad landing, not on the centerline but I can understand with the winds, try a Crosswind landing next time?

Brilliant stuff, better than TV ! It's always great to watch someone highly skilled at what they're doing.
And this reminded me how beautiful NZ is.

Well yes, have to be very very careful. Turning 180 in quite a confined space for finals.

i can just imagine beginning the turn too late and hitting the mountain while turning... seems like a hard place to land!
