Sexual orientation is not a choice! How many times do people have to say this before the scientific community will start trying to prove it instead of disproving it?
@TheStrawbeery Oh, well it sounds like you have all the answers...bible says I am a liar, homosexuality is not biological, rather environmental, the "human g nome project" (whatever that is) has proven there is no gay gene, and gays will go to hell unless they convert. Great, now I know. You should write a book or something, you seem so smart! Homosexuals, listen up, "TheStrawbeery" (possibly a typo for strawberry) is now the authority on homosexuality...take heed!
AND GOD DOESNT HATE GAYS HE LIKES THEM MORE THEN STR8 PPL EXAMPLE LESBIANS HARDLY EVER GET STDS GAY GUYS ARE BETTER LOOKING THE STR8 ALL HOT CHIX WANT TO FUCK THEM GOD LUVS THEM MORE LOL
No one knows why people are gay, since there are so many ways to become gay (change their preference, can't remember ever being straight, some went through dramatic events, etc..)
If the result of homosexuality is inconclusive then how can the gene be factual?
Because BISEXUALS are the ONLY ones that can CHOOSE between the 2 sexes!
Im pretty sure SOME of the HETEROS wouldn't like to hear truth about their REAL sexuality and the only way they battle their real feelings is by grabbing a bible and become Homophobes.
REAL STRAIGHT PEOPLE are OK with gays cause they're SECURE with their sexuality and don't feel threatn by gay people.
I like this line from the original Science article this 20/20 is based on:
"At present, we can say nothing about the fraction of all instances of male homosexuality that are related or unrelated to the Xq28 candidate locus because of the selection for genetically loaded families that is imposed by linkage methods."
IE - we didn't prove shit. just something that might be one of many contributions to being more likely to be gay.
Religion is not the only source of believing one is not 'born that way' If someone bothers to look at current scientific research you will find there are some who believe sexual orientation can change over time and be reflective of changes in a personality or in what someone is looking for in a meaningful relationship. I realize simple answers like "they are born that way" appeals to many. Some, not all, embryonic research is as you say, but not all people fit your mold.
I know effeminate guys that are purely straight. I know burly, manly men, that are gay. An in-depth study of over 1000 twins conclusively shows, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that "being gay" is learned behavior. Society's typecasts, parenting, and a whole host of other factors affects how a person behaves sexually during/after puberty. You might as well say that a prostitute is born a prostitute. It's ridiculous, science and psychology have proven that.
@RandomAlexLol No, I'm a God "freak" who believes it expanded 13 billion years ago. We can't be absolutely sure due to gravitation, velocity, and expansion analysis, but plus or minus a billion. I don't know what this has to do with homosexuals seeking validation through "my genes made me do it".
@tubehab Err thats like saying my genes forced me to go blonde, genes just make us be a certain way... such as black or white, blonde, ginger, gay, straight...
@RandomAlexLol You were fine until you said gay and straight. There is no gay gene. It doesn't exist. As Dr. Whitehead, a well respected scientist states, "There is more evidence for a schizophrenia gene than for a gay gene, and we've been looking for over 15 years." Identical twins found to be gay and straight offers absolute proof there is no such gene. Really, when you get down to it, what's the goal? Do gays think that "if" this mythical gene is found they will find peace?
@tubehab Maybe, just maybe, if you paid close attention in Biology, you would understand that hormones are released from the mother to the baby. It all varies, most of the time; the hormones are produced correctly, some of the times, its not. So a female can get male hormones or vice versa on a little baby boy.
@teaanv if we took religion out of the equation all together, there wouldn't be an issue to debate. Seeing as how the two arguments against homosexuality are "it's against the will of God." and "it's gross". And since the latter of the two isn't a real argument (even though the first is a fairly ridiculous argument), removing religion from the issue pretty much removes the issue. So I say let's try that shall we?
It's all about the way an individual body produces and balances hormones. From infancy your body produces hormones like testosterone and estrogen. The balance of the two weighs in on the brains involuntary perception of human attraction. (I.e. Most straight men and homosexual women have/produce higher amounts of testosterone than straight women/homosexual men). Science-1 Religion-0
btw im guessing that its not linked with genes but envoirement ( for my situation) my mum didnt look after me ,my nephew did it .i guess getting touched by a different person from ur own mum can cause it. anyway genetic or not i didnt choose it .it ruined my whole life because i have been never sure that im gay or not ,i couldnt make relationships with people because i felt so bad .it totaly fucked my life im 29 years old now im planning to become shemale to run away from everything.
you mean there are still people that think its a choice? That your not born gay? That means I've been underestimating the power of religion and its impact on people smart enough to know better. The science does in fact reveal that the womb defends itself from the fetus by producing antibodies in the embryotic stage that inhibit the ability to develop testosterone in the fetus, and produce a heterosexual baby.
@Johnf85 I apologies, but that doesn't right. If the womb produces antibodies that inhibit testosterone production, and thereby cause the child to be gay, then wouldn't all male children be gay?
@Wildfyre31 No of course it doesnt mean that all children would be gay. If the antigens and antibodies are successful, then one outcome is produced. If they arent, they another outcome is produced. Its a biological battle, its not a definite chemical response, guaranteed every single time. How is this not common sense to you?
I was very confused about my sexuality last year, and so for me, I was straight til last year (I currently consider myself bi), and so I'm lost, if I was born with it… how come i didn't feel it til then… considering I have been attracted to the opposite sex sense preschool?
There is no question that homosexuality is genetic, just as heterosexuality is genetic. Gay or straight, people know their sexual orientation from childhood, and that it is not a choice, it just is. The true question is, that when science is able to single out this gene, are we inviting genocide by the fact that many parents might want to abort their gay babies?
@evanstoler That has got to be the most disgusting comment I have ever seen on YouTube. You are despicable in a way that makes even Hitler look like an innocent and loving man.
. Research designed to prove that gays and lesbians are "born that way" has come up empty — there is no scientific evidence that being gay or lesbian is genetically determined” Matthew Brelis, "The Fading 'Gay Gene,'" The Boston Globe, March 20, 2002, p. C1.
Meta-analysis of all available linkage data found no evidence between homosexual orientation and gene Xq28, and also no genetic heritability of sexual orientation^ Schwartz, G.; Kim, R.; Kolundzija, A.; Rieger, G.; Sanders, A. (2010). "Biodemographic and physical correlates of sexual orientation in men.". Archives of sexual behavior 39 (1): 93–109.
You don't have to be a scientist or know psychology to understand that it, like anything else, is something PSYCHOLOGICAL(which includes behavioural traits, but not biological.) Of course, that is a self-educated opinion, keep in mind. It's like Cindy says, "He is who he is." Only the individual can make a decision to change. Just like someone who is naturally aggressive. IF they want that to change about them self, it is up to them, as an independent person, to work on it and overcome it.
you can so tell the kids who have it, for example aunts friends whoes little boys have girls for friends, like dolls he is now out and 30. Its not just a fad with some kids if they continue to show the behaviour they're probably gay.
You know i wonder if people who believe in god will be angry if scientist discover that there is a gay gene. This is considering that being gay is a sin, because if there is a gay gene there can't be a god right? I mean at that point if there is a gay gene God would be contradicting himself by saying being gay is a sin...
@richyrich5600 well i am a christian and i belive that god loves evry lifeform eternally and sends all lifeforms to heaven when they die no matter what.people wrote the bible the bible says many good things but consider the fact that it wasnt all god getting in the head of the people writting the bible i mean the devil randomly gets in peoples head that means that the devil was going in to peoples heads when they wrote the bible i belive you solve problems with the devil by ignoring him.
@richyrich5600 i belive that their is a gay gene and i am a christian i think theirs nothing wrong with haveing any type of sexuality because your sexuality is something you naturally have and people are born with it.
@xTheMorbidManic well yes i am a christian and i do belive in the bible but not all of it the christian religion isnt all about the bible i mean the bible is good but theirs more to being a christian than what the bible says and my point in being a christian is showing that gods my hero and i suport him in evrything good he doess
@Towelman20 in saying that everyone is going to go to heaven what you're saying is that what jesus did was absolutely useless or that it just never happened.. if you're saying jesus died on the cross so that everyone is saved no matter what then you're saying that god is not letting us use our free will that he gave to us in the first place for some purpose.. if you think that we don't have free will then why do we do evil things? without free will we make no choices
@chunktuff well evryone has free will but if god loves us so mch why would he send us to hell thats why i belive that god sends evyryone to heaven when they die no matter what.
@Towelman20 god is also just.. we all deserve hell.. but jesus took our punishment for us if we choose to accept it.. otherwise we get what we deserve.. we have the freedom to choose and if we go to hell we can't blame god for that
It's more nurture than it is nature. It isn't so much to say that there is a "gay gene," but rather that some people may be born with certain chemical imbalances, which, depending on the relationship to the mother and father figure at very early ages, can manifest as both sexual identity and sexual orientation. To say it is a choice would be entirely wrong. To say you are born with it isn't entirely right either, but more so than saying it is a choice.
@Fredgar125 so do you think you have a choice in changing it? i might agree with the part where it's not necessarily a choice to become like that in the first place but i also think it's changeable later as well and that choice is up to the person
How fortunate the boys in the video had parents mature enough and loving enough to support them. As it should be.
I notice that the parents and the article, however, conflate effeminate behavior in boys with homosexuality. While it's obvious that many gay people exhibit non-normative behaviors, it's not a rule.
I take issue with the evangelical Christian being trotted out in support of the other side of the genetic argument. And no notice is taken of non-genetic, biological factors.
its not genetic. maybe a choice. its a feeling if the word GAY didnt exist it a relationship with the same sex would be called love. religious usually believe ur born that way cus to them its not normal but its just a feeling. im pretty sure a child was aware he was born a male or female when he was an infant he was taught he was male. some ppl identify more with ppl who are not them. just cus there a boy doesnt stop them from wating to be a princess or act like a girl.
ok if its not a choice to be gay and you can not help who you are attracted to, then you have to accept that some people might be born attracted to little kids aka pedophiles. please dont get mad its just a question you have to ask yourself if you believe people are born gay. so i ask this question all the time to my self.
@raulito22190 Its not relevant if ppl are born attracted to kids. Pedophilia is wrong because kids get hurt / molested / used. Gay sex is between 2 consenting adults. Ppl hate pedophiles because they hurt lil kids - ppl hate gays because of religion. Hope that answers your question.
@dothedeed if it was genetics then you shouldn't hate pedophiles cause that would be racist.. it's either accept both gays and pedophiles or neither they've both done their damage to innocent people.. for pedo's its obvious but for gays it's that no one wants to get close to anyone anymore cause it may seem gay since it's all out in the open and accepted now.. i'm just going to say that no it's not genetics.. though some genetics may lead you down a path but that's not to say you can't change it
@chunktuff SIGH. Ok I'll explain it slowly to you. Not liking pedophiles is not being RACIST as pedophiles aren't a race. The problem with pedophiles is that they hurt children - the genetics are irrelevant. Your argument that gays make you afraid of getting close to your friends because ppl will think you are "gay" - is a problem with you and your group of friends - not gays. Your opinion that "no its not genetics" is also irrelevant. Just because you have an opinion doesnt mean its valid.
@dothedeed so you agree that there are no gene's that set these things in stone? if you think there are and you hate pedophiles then you're racist just as you would be if you hated black people because they're just born like that and no not all pedophiles hurt children just as not all gays decide to have a relationship with another man/woman.. also my argument was not that I'M afraid of getting close to anyone.. try again.. also yes our opinions don't matter cause there's only one actual truth
You as well as the person I originally responded to are using strawman and slippery slope fallacies. You have made a little detour from gays and started making comparisons to pedophiles and then black ppl. The entire tangent you have taken is not relevant to the discussion on gays. Being black hurts no one, what consenting adults do in bed is THEIR OWN BUSINESS, violating children hurts children - its very simple. You said "no one wants to get close..it may seem gay" I didnt just make that up.
@dothedeed that part that you're saying you didn't make up was not even what i was accusing you of making up.. i was saying that it's not me that's afraid of getting close to others.. it's everyone afraid of getting close to everyone.. gays contributed to that problem on the same sex side.. all these other sexually driven people contributed to that problem on the opposite sex side.. so no close friends anymore cause no one wants to get close to anyone for fear of something
@chunktuff They have no reason to be afraid of getting close to their own friends. If they are afraid thats their own problem. Furthermore if there wasn't the view that gays are something negative then it would be a non issue. So it is their own perception that needs to be changed.
@dothedeed that's quite possible.. also i don't hate gay people but i do believe it's wrong but i know without a doubt it can be changed and yes i do believe i could become gay as well if i wanted to/tried even though i'm totally straight
@dothedeed i'm sure enough of it and not blindly so either.. i've done my fair share of thinking about it and studying it and i would bank my money on it but i certainly wouldn't let a human be the judge of the final conclusion.. humans WANT homosexuality to be perfectly fine and unchangeable and think they're doing people a service by promoting it everywhere and give themselves a pat on the back for being so darn accepting of others lifestyles.. others who don't affect their lifestyle that is
@chunktuff The question the video asks is "Is there a gay gene". The answer - maybe - there is some evidence esp with testing of twins but no one knows conclusively. The question you seem to be asking however has to do with morality. You clearly presuppose that being gay is wrong - as wrong as being a pedophile. Then you again propose that pedophilia is genetic - (no evidence of such). Then you suggest that behaviours that result from genetics have to be condoned. All of which is ridiculous.
@dothedeed what i was saying had nothing to do with morality.. the answer to the question "is there a gay gene" cannot be maybe.. there either is or there isn't but we may not know the answer so we can say maybe but that's only because we don't know.. i was also not saying (but i'm not saying otherwise) that being gay is just as wrong as being a pedophile.. i'm just saying that they're extremely similar and that you should treat them both as equals one way or another
I don't know about the "gay gene", but I agree with tydaze18. You're born gay. Now, I'm not gay, but my cousin is a 4 year old boy (he has both parents and a younger brother) who has been playing with Barbie dolls, rolling around in pink/purple blankets, and drinking out of Disney princess sippy cups since he was 2. He acts flamboyant, he twirls around, and he struts around. Anyone can say what they want, but I'm convinced that he's destined to be gay.
This is so fucking stupid why are ppl trying to find a "gay gene" wtf homosexuals are human beings not lab rats I don't see anybody trying to find a "straight gene"!!!!!!
It's like being a cat person...or a dog person. If you're a cat person, for some reason, you just prefer cats...and you liked them ever since you first saw one.
Either you are attracted to guys...or you're attracted to girls. It's really simple people.
The Christian 'Psychologist' is an idiot in this video. The ASA has been long been at odds with Geneticists over this issue of 'nature v nurture.'
Clearly, it is biological. Even the parents know of the children's state. The gay children themselves 'just knew' because that's how their genes shaped their neurological wiring and development.
Prof. Dawkins raises a good question in the value of having a 'gay gene'; what purpose does it serve in the order of reproduction and nature? Nothing, really. It's a social behavior that's been passed down on a genetic level.
With Alpha males as dominate tribe members, Beta and Omega males may have had no choice but to seek sex outside the biological norm of mating with females, leaving them sexually frustrated, and ostracized from the tribe. Somehow their genes were passed on.
@technologic21 i would think that it really serves a purpose, and that purpose is...anti-over population. You get the picture. Go ahead and tell me that that does not make sense, then explain why if you do.
@technologic21 in response to your "what purpose does it serve in the order of reproduction?" ....is the sole purpose of human life to reproduce? genuinely asking for opinions on this. I don't think that's the meaning or purpose of life...what about infertile couples? or just people who don't want kids? I don't really think it's a social behaviour, I don't think it's influenced by anything. maybe not a 'gay gene' particularly, but definitely biological in some form and definitely not a choice.
There probably is some type scientific explanation for homosexuality...but out of fear of public scrutiny (and being accused of homophobia) scientists have been mum on the matter - because gays and people with other gender association disorders are afraid of the scientific data that there is perhaps a physiological/genetic disposition to being gay. The LGBT community would fear being singled out by the data for fueling homophobia, justifiably.
u choose 2 get ur womanhood , manhood, virginity, tooking from u. u choose 2 give ur phone number out 2 somebody u don't know. like u volunteer ur self 2 jesus. u choose 2 turn ur body anybody u want. becuz ur a virgin 2 sex 1 time n thats it. ain't mystery no more. u choose 2 put 9mm n ur mouth n make ur self disappear.
@testchrome1994 ok, i'm really ignorant on the twin thing but i'm sure even if the gay gene existed alot of twins wouldn't both come out as gay because the society we live in shows being gay is wrong, and too many people care about what others think, who knows i could be wrong about the gay gene thing but i believe it is a good explanation
If it were solely genetics, then twins would always have the same sexuality, which is not the case. But more importantly, it should not matter whether it is genetic, in the womb, influence or choice or whatever. My mom said something important to me: She had a check-through about my health in her womb and thankfully I was healthy, but she said that even if I hadn't been, she'd have accepted it. Being gay is even less a problem… It shouldn't matter… (In theory, of course…)
@GaelicHighlander You are just blinded to the truth... One day , the scales from your eyes will be lifted... I operate in Faith and respect the Word of God... This TOTALLY works for me... God also said; that unless we have faith like a child, we are not fit for the kingdom of God" This is because children operate on blind faith! As you age, you become more skeptical about everything, including God...As a college graduate, I have researched the Word of God, God wins in the end!
@GaelicHighlander I am operating under the "Spirit of God", the same power that raised Christ from the dead! The same God that created you!.Now, that we have that straight...Just because you don't respect our God, who has this world suspended in mid-air, Oh! and Don't forget at a perfect tilt from the moon and sun...How AWESOME is that! The god (Lucifer) of this earth is guiding your cockiness, when He , himself knows that the mere mention of Jesus' name, sends him into an epileptic seizure!
Is there really a gay gene? that doesn't make any sense lets say there is a gay gene then what about the people that are Bisexual what kind of Gene do they have or the ones that are Bi curious who after experimenting with the same sex they find out they that's not what they want or how about the asexual people?
" REVERE: Matter enough, Hancock. The Redcoats are coming. Is Sam Adams in the house with you? HANCOCK: Yes, Paul Revere, what's me. Oh, Sam–Sam Adams! ADAMS: Yes, yes, I'm coming."
The bible is very clear about God's view on homosexuality... The New testament has Romans 1:26-28 , 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, and 1Timothy1:9-11... If God says that homosexuals will not be in heaven, that is pretty clear that, it is not his will for any of his creations to adopt the homosexual lifestyle...Two of the same sex, can't bring forth life... This is definitely NOT what God had in mind during his creation of man...Good luck trying to convince God that he was wrong...
Wouldnt the fact that there is a gay gene prove that God may have intended for people to be gay though? If God did create us, he clearly intended to create gays. If god truly didnt want gays, why is it now proven that biologically you can be born gay? There are simply to many contradictions to that statement. You cant pull statements from centuries ago and apply them to every situation. You simply sound like a clown by doing so.
@afire007 There is no such thing as a gay gene... That is an excuse to follow your lust...Look at a baby, everything is learned...Much of homosexuality, is pure childhood sexual molestation! I have known too many, all with sexual abuse at a young age! We just happen to live in a fallen world, where the enemy is able to creep in and destroy many lives...He then makes people believe that God caused it all! God would never create two of the same to mate , as No life can be made...
sweettyme16 has it absolutely correct. It is a choice or a learned behavior, and you'll notice that once the behavior is learned, it is fostered by society as being "genetic".
I'm doing a study on this for my sociology class. To me it would make more sense for it to be biological rather than a learned behaviour. However, I have my doubts because if it were genetic, then how do you explain those who are bi-sexual?
Its not genetic, its just a feeling. Nothing more. They are trying to make being gay into more than it really is. Its not a race or gene or religion. Its a feeling or a sexuality, a turn on. Thats it.
This world is just entirely driven on a "Gay Agenda", coming straight from the pit of Hell! If parents are ignorant of true Christian spirituality and spiritual warfare as Jesus taught, their children will be easy targets for homosexuality... Only being a true believer of Jesus Christ, gives you the power to overcome and have an immunity from this evil agenda... We are in an unseen spiritual battle over good and evil...A gay gene is nonsense, we are just in denial about evil' strongholds...
@reinwitgsus lol first off there's no agenda. Thats just some BS religious folks made up so they could justify bigotry. Secondly Jesus never talks about homosexuality, nor does it appear in the new testament at all. Heck, there wasn't even a word for it when the bible was made. The only time it was referenced was in the old testament, and even then it is misinterpreted and out of context as it is put besides some other silly rules like not eating shellfish or having certain haircuts.
@reinwitgsus A gay gene is nonsense, we are just in denial about evil' strongholds...
It's about as much nonsense as notion that the earth is round and that it rotates around the sun - two of many ideas that the church also adamantly opposed. There is absolutely no proof that it is learned.
I'm gay and it's something you were born with. No movie or TV show told me to watch the shirtless guy who mowed my family's grass. lol There are no gay people in my family so I'm not sure about genetics, but it's just the way you are. People need to accept it's not a choice.
@tydaze18 absolutely no genetic proof or even valid theory, so how can you be born with it. And what are you basing this belief on since theres no proof?
there must be something genetic about it. I'm gay, my mother had two brothers who each had a gay child. While growing up I cannot remember being exposed to gay culture. I knew I liked boys at a very early age
I would be very surprised if it was discoverred that homosexuality is a learned behavioure. Growing up I was sheltered from the media; no tv, radio ect & we didn't ever hear about it at school or home. As far as I know no one that I knew while growing up was gay and it wasn't incouraged by my family. The same must be true for many Christian & Muslim children but they still end up gay. Growing up I was clearly gay but I didn't even hear the word 'gay' until I was 14. Where did I learn to be gay?
I always get a good laugh when religious people say that "scientific evidence" doesn't support something. LIKE they give two shits about scientific evidence.
I have no doubt that there is a gay gene. My mother has 4 sisters--2 biological sisters and 2 half-sisters. My mother and both biological sisters have 6 children between them and all are straight. The two half sisters have three kids each, of which, one of each is gay. This tells me that the father of these half-sisters was carrying a gay gene. It even turns out that he had a lesbian sister.
i hate having the gay gene and i wud opt to have it removed no matter wot the risks were. to me it's a kind of disability. if i were straight i wudnt feel like an outsider all the time and i wudnt hate my life. i dont blame the ppl who hate gays. i blame my genes.
When humans blame nature and even use other species for what they do, It's just ridiculous. Genes might make it harder for some others to stay thin. However, we don't blame evolution and give up on trying to eat and live healthier
While oestrogen masculinises the brain in mice, it does not have the same effect in humans. There is absolutely NO animal model that accurately reflects human sexuality...Pigs don’t date, ducks don’t go to church, and mice don’t fall in love.
@funk7000 If you want to say that "no animal model stuff" explain why certain animals are monogamous and only have 1 mate "or date" one animal for their entire life and seek no other after their mate dies.
@Angelus001 For survival of the species, whereas ours is a combination of that among other complex social factors. The reality is we know better, animals simply live off instinct and if they had nearly as many sexual diseases, they'd all be dead. Evolution happens and humans have developed to be an incredible species who has more control over our feelings and actions.
@Angelus001- That does not prove that homosexuality can be inherently genetic and/or triggered by genetic blips in the code. The thing that it also doesn't explain is how that happens in a natural setting. It doesn't matter if mice or apes have the same genetic material, for they share no alternate motivations or higher emotions that lead humans to these same decisions.
If anybody thinks that rodents are relevant to the study of human sexuality, they're simply grabbing for the end of their rope of desperation. This particular "research" does nothing to suggest there's the same connection in humans - it just proves there is in rodents. By deleting the enzyme-producing gene, the scientists caused the female mice to be exposed to extra oestrogen, by preventing their brains from filtering out the hormone.
To the ppl who keep saying the look things up and all those other lies... Lookup Genome: FucM and how deleting it from the genetic string has turned female mice in to lesbian mice. Note that we as humans share around 92% genetic material as mice as we share 98% with the chimpanzee. That is the reason we test on mice.
Being gay is not about becoming some idiotic "PROUD" creature constantly screaming at the world for its rights. Some DEPTH please. FUN. JOY. CRITICAL THINKING. CREATIVITY. A REAL CULTURE. IDEAS.
So sad the gay collective has basically been hijacked by the system for its own purposes, and the gay identity has been COMPLETELY ERODED.
Stop listening to all this idiotizing screamy propaganda!
@suddenlyitsobvious I assume you are religious and that is the reason for your opinion. To be gay, straight, bisexual, etc. is not a choice. I cannot choose right now to be sexually attracted to another man because I am straight. If you are gay (which I have a feeling you might describe yourself as such) it is completely possible that you are actually bisexual. So to you you would have a choice of which gender you wanted to have sex with, but for the rest of us we have no choice in the matter.
No, I'm not religious at all. And I don't think it's a choice to be homosexual, in fact I know it isn't.
However, and here's the point: it is NOT because people haven't chosen their sexuality that it is inborn.
People often tend to think in these binaries that are in fact a result of programming -through our mere functioning in society. You just did it yourself:
if I don't agree with a dogmatic or supposedly scientific view,...
@suddenlyitsobvious I shouldn't have assumed anything about you. I'm sorry about that. It seemed plausible to me at the time that you were "ex-gay" and you had prayed your gay away. lol
Beyond that I think we would agree on nearly everything you have said. I will say I have much faith in the scientific process to eventually find the answers we seek. (Not to say that you don't.)
No I haven't any faith whatsoever in the scientific process and consider the pure scientific method is a theoretical abstraction, and illusion that doesn't exist in reality. In my view, science isn't about finding truth and besides some clever technologies in the engineering department it hasn't managed to explain ANYTHING about life to my satisfaction.
The masses are today controlled by science in pretty much the same way the old Israelites were controlled by the pharisees...
They've "studied" (medicalized, medicated, lobotomized etc) schizophrenics fi for a century and a half or so and results? "We don't know."
Cancer? No results. Autism? Aids? etc etc. People have way too much FAITH in science.
Anyway, sexual preference becomes hardwired in the brain at some point, pretty early in life, but we're certainly not born with a homosexual preference. Again, this myth has been used for strategic reasons by gay militants, ...
...and today countless people claim "it's genetic", but they just BELIEVE that.
It's an idea that stuck. There's no scientific proof for that notion AT ALL!
I think your own common sense will pretty much show you that we are born with a sexual potential/ drive that comes to maturity around puberty, and that that drive ITSELF is biologically based, but NOT THE ORIENTATION of that drive. In fact that very idea is quite silly.
There are of course reasons why the sex drive should be canalized into that direction, and these reasons have nothing to do with a conscious choice. It would take a lot of talking to convey what these reasons in my opinion are, but consider for now that if the system itself doesn't understand homosexuality -and it doesn't- then we need to look at the issue more subtly.
A good start is to differentiate between sexuality itself and its orientation.
I think homosexuality is as solid a preference as heterosexuality, and homosexuals have no more choice in the matter than straights.
Of course, there are those that can have it both ways, but in my opinion a large portion of those claiming "I'm bisexual" often are really hesitating homosexuals...
(6) "marriage, adoption, equal rights, oppression, victims, tolerance, hate, and of course: HOMOPHOBIA."
"Homophobia", a term borrowed from psychiatry (phobia) to push home that anyone contradicting the agenda has a mental disorder.
All this regurgitating of propaganda and lack of critical thought and complete absence of an ACTUAL GAY CULTURE is really too bad. Too bad so many gays can't see they are simply being taken for a ride.
...THERE IS NO RELATION between size of genome and complexity of organism, which means that some amoebe have a genome size about 200 times bigger than the human genome. Imagine that! Geneticists have no problem with this issue, that all by itself basically shows the ENTIRE GENETIC PARADIGM is seriously flawed.
Science has become a true religion in society. Gayness cannot be understood without understanding the society in which is takes place.
Of course is suits the system to have people believe this trash, since that confers power and funds to "the experts", who today basically explain every facet of life to the public, that just has to BELIEVE. Genetics like many other fields of "science" is a complete pseudo-science and they are basically changing the definition of what a "gene" even is about every 5 minutes.
C-value enigma fi shows what an incredibly complex concoction genetics really is: ...
The idea that infants are already sexually interested is of course very Freudian, and is completely insane. Male infants supposedly dream of fukking their mum from birth or shortly after, and see their dad as sexual rivals. These aberrant ideas still live in society, but we really should know better.
The system is sparing itself no effort to push home this notion that genetics will explain everything. Yet where are RESULTS?! There are none.
There are many gays that would like homosexuality to be genetically based, since when you're "born that way", then "it's not your fault".
Gay activism has consistently popularizd this notion for strategic reasons. Many gays fell for it, also because since they don't remember having made a conscious choice, they typically figure: "oh, it must be innate then."
@suddenlyitsobvious To the ppl who keep saying the look things up and all those other lies... Lookup Genome: FucM and how deleting it from the genetic string has turned female mice in to lesbian mice. Note that we as humans share around 92% genetic material as mice as we share 98% with the chimpanzee. That is the reason we test on mice.
It is biological. People let it go!

@TheStrawbeery Oh, well it sounds like you have all the answers...bible says I am a liar, homosexuality is not biological, rather environmental, the "human g nome project" (whatever that is) has proven there is no gay gene, and gays will go to hell unless they convert. When did speculated theories become the truth?
No one knows why people are gay, since there are so many ways to become gay (change their preference, can't remember ever being straight, some went through dramatic events, etc..)
If the result of homosexuality is inconclusive then how can the gene be factual?

PEOPLE WHO SAY that being GAY IS A CHOICE
MEANS that THEYRE BISEXUAL!
NuLaifMusic 2 months ago
The ending of this brought me to tears.
I seriously cannot believe we STILL live in a world of denial and hate.
WHY do people care so much about what gender someone ELSE is attracted to? Shouldn't you only be concerned with who YOU'RE attracted to?
What happened to human traits like respect, tolerance, love, compassion, empathy and acceptance?
What's happened to society that we feel the need to tell others how to live their lives? Why can't we all just be who we are? Is that so wrong?
nasilu 3 months ago
I like this line from the original Science article this 20/20 is based on:
"At present, we can say nothing about the fraction of all instances of male homosexuality that are related or unrelated to the Xq28 candidate locus because of the selection for genetically loaded families that is imposed by linkage methods."
IE - we didn't prove shit. just something that might be one of many contributions to being more likely to be gay.
Lammalord 3 months ago
Religion is not the only source of believing one is not 'born that way' If someone bothers to look at current scientific research you will find there are some who believe sexual orientation can change over time and be reflective of changes in a personality or in what someone is looking for in a meaningful relationship. I realize simple answers like "they are born that way" appeals to many. Some, not all, embryonic research is as you say, but not all people fit your mold.
emton55 3 months ago
I know effeminate guys that are purely straight. I know burly, manly men, that are gay. An in-depth study of over 1000 twins conclusively shows, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that "being gay" is learned behavior. Society's typecasts, parenting, and a whole host of other factors affects how a person behaves sexually during/after puberty. You might as well say that a prostitute is born a prostitute. It's ridiculous, science and psychology have proven that.
tubehab 3 months ago

@RandomAlexLol No, I'm a God "freak" who believes it expanded 13 billion years ago. We can't be absolutely sure due to gravitation, velocity, and expansion analysis, but plus or minus a billion. I don't know what this has to do with homosexuals seeking validation through "my genes made me do it".
tubehab 3 months ago
@tubehab Err thats like saying my genes forced me to go blonde, genes just make us be a certain way... such as black or white, blonde, ginger, gay, straight...
RandomAlexLol 3 months ago
@RandomAlexLol You were fine until you said gay and straight. There is no gay gene. It doesn't exist. As Dr. Whitehead, a well respected scientist states, "There is more evidence for a schizophrenia gene than for a gay gene, and we've been looking for over 15 years." Identical twins found to be gay and straight offers absolute proof there is no such gene. Really, when you get down to it, what's the goal? Do gays think that "if" this mythical gene is found they will find peace?
tubehab 3 months ago
@tubehab Oh yeah silly me, identical twins are identical is EVERY way including stuff like fingerprints =/
RandomAlexLol 3 months ago

So I say let's try that shall we?
esavoldi 3 months ago

Wildfyre31 2 weeks ago
@Wildfyre31 No of course it doesnt mean that all children would be gay. If the antigens and antibodies are successful, then one outcome is produced. If they arent, they another outcome is produced. Its a biological battle, its not a definite chemical response, guaranteed every single time. How is this not common sense to you?

There is no question that homosexuality is genetic, just as heterosexuality is genetic. Gay or straight, people know their sexual orientation from childhood, and that it is not a choice, it just is. The true question is, that when science is able to single out this gene, are we inviting genocide by the fact that many parents might want to abort their gay babies?

You don't have to be a scientist or know psychology to understand that it, like anything else, is something PSYCHOLOGICAL(which includes behavioural traits, but not biological.) Of course, that is a self-educated opinion, keep in mind. It's like Cindy says, "He is who he is." Only the individual can make a decision to change. Just like someone who is naturally aggressive. IF they want that to change about them self, it is up to them, as an independent person, to work on it and overcome it.

You know i wonder if people who believe in god will be angry if scientist discover that there is a gay gene.
Fredgar125 6 months ago

How fortunate the boys in the video had parents mature enough and loving enough to support them. As it should be.
I notice that the parents and the article, however, conflate effeminate behavior in boys with homosexuality. While it's obvious that many gay people exhibit non-normative behaviors, it's not a rule.
I take issue with the evangelical Christian being trotted out in support of the other side of the genetic argument. And no notice is taken of non-genetic, biological factors.
Noodle2987 6 months ago
its not genetic. maybe a choice. its a feeling if the word GAY didnt exist it a relationship with the same sex would be called love. religious usually believe ur born that way cus to them its not normal but its just a feeling. im pretty sure a child was aware he was born a male or female when he was an infant he was taught he was male. some ppl identify more with ppl who are not them. just cus there a boy doesnt stop them from wating to be a princess or act like a girl.
kurakai18 6 months ago
ok if its not a choice to be gay and you can not help who you are attracted to, then you have to accept that some people might be born attracted to little kids aka pedophiles. please dont get mad its just a question you have to ask yourself if you believe people are born gay. so i ask this question all the time to my self.
raulito22190 6 months ago
@raulito22190 Its not relevant if ppl are born attracted to kids. Pedophilia is wrong because kids get hurt / molested / used. Gay sex is between 2 consenting adults. Ppl hate pedophiles because they hurt lil kids - ppl hate gays because of religion. Hope that answers your question.
dothedeed 5 months ago
@dothedeed if it was genetics then you shouldn't hate pedophiles cause that would be racist.. it's either accept both gays and pedophiles or neither they've both done their damage to innocent people.. for pedo's its obvious but for gays it's that no one wants to get close to anyone anymore cause it may seem gay since it's all out in the open and accepted now.. i'm just going to say that no it's not genetics.. though some genetics may lead you down a path but that's not to say you can't change it
chunktuff 5 months ago
@chunktuff SIGH. Ok I'll explain it slowly to you. Not liking pedophiles is not being RACIST as pedophiles aren't a race. The problem with pedophiles is that they hurt children - the genetics are irrelevant. Your argument that gays make you afraid of getting close to your friends because ppl will think you are "gay" - is a problem with you and your group of friends - not gays. Your opinion that "no its not genetics" is also irrelevant. Just because you have an opinion doesnt mean its valid.
dothedeed 5 months ago
@dothedeed so you agree that there are no gene's that set these things in stone? if you think there are and you hate pedophiles then you're racist just as you would be if you hated black people because they're just born like that and no not all pedophiles hurt children just as not all gays decide to have a relationship with another man/woman.. also my argument was not that I'M afraid of getting close to anyone.. try again.. also yes our opinions don't matter cause there's only one actual truth
chunktuff 5 months ago
You as well as the person I originally responded to are using strawman and slippery slope fallacies. You have made a little detour from gays and started making comparisons to pedophiles and then black ppl. The entire tangent you have taken is not relevant to the discussion on gays. Being black hurts no one, what consenting adults do in bed is THEIR OWN BUSINESS, violating children hurts children - its very simple. You said "no one wants to get close..it may seem gay" I didnt just make that up.
dothedeed 5 months ago
@dothedeed that part that you're saying you didn't make up was not even what i was accusing you of making up.. i was saying that it's not me that's afraid of getting close to others.. it's everyone afraid of getting close to everyone.. gays contributed to that problem on the same sex side.. all these other sexually driven people contributed to that problem on the opposite sex side.. so no close friends anymore cause no one wants to get close to anyone for fear of something
chunktuff 5 months ago
@chunktuff They have no reason to be afraid of getting close to their own friends. If they are afraid thats their own problem. Furthermore if there wasn't the view that gays are something negative then it would be a non issue. So it is their own perception that needs to be changed.
dothedeed 5 months ago
@dothedeed that's quite possible.. also i don't hate gay people but i do believe it's wrong but i know without a doubt it can be changed and yes i do believe i could become gay as well if i wanted to/tried even though i'm totally straight
chunktuff 5 months ago
@chunktuff I dont think it works like that - lol
dothedeed 5 months ago
@dothedeed i'm sure enough of it and not blindly so either.. i've done my fair share of thinking about it and studying it and i would bank my money on it but i certainly wouldn't let a human be the judge of the final conclusion.. humans WANT homosexuality to be perfectly fine and unchangeable and think they're doing people a service by promoting it everywhere and give themselves a pat on the back for being so darn accepting of others lifestyles.. others who don't affect their lifestyle that is
chunktuff 5 months ago
@chunktuff The question the video asks is "Is there a gay gene". The answer - maybe - there is some evidence esp with testing of twins but no one knows conclusively. The question you seem to be asking however has to do with morality. You clearly presuppose that being gay is wrong - as wrong as being a pedophile. Then you again propose that pedophilia is genetic - (no evidence of such). Then you suggest that behaviours that result from genetics have to be condoned. All of which is ridiculous.
dothedeed 5 months ago
@dothedeed what i was saying had nothing to do with morality.. the answer to the question "is there a gay gene" cannot be maybe.. there either is or there isn't but we may not know the answer so we can say maybe but that's only because we don't know.. i was also not saying (but i'm not saying otherwise) that being gay is just as wrong as being a pedophile.. i'm just saying that they're extremely similar and that you should treat them both as equals one way or another

The Christian 'Psychologist' is an idiot in this video. The ASA has been long been at odds with Geneticists over this issue of 'nature v nurture.'
Clearly, it is biological. Even the parents know of the children's state. The gay children themselves 'just knew' because that's how their genes shaped their neurological wiring and development.
technologic21 7 months ago
Somehow their genes were passed on.
technologic21 7 months ago
@technologic21 i would think that it really serves a purpose, and that purpose is...anti-over population. You get the picture. Go ahead and tell me that that does not make sense, then explain why if you do.
nakallo 6 months ago
@technologic21 in response to your "what purpose does it serve in the order of reproduction?" ....is the sole purpose of human life to reproduce? genuinely asking for opinions on this. I don't think that's the meaning or purpose of life...what about infertile couples? or just people who don't want kids? I don't really think it's a social behaviour, I don't think it's influenced by anything. maybe not a 'gay gene' particularly, but definitely biological in some form and definitely not a choice.
tenthingsqueer 5 months ago
There probably is some type scientific explanation for homosexuality...but out of fear of public scrutiny (and being accused of homophobia) scientists have been mum on the matter - because gays and people with other gender association disorders are afraid of the scientific data that there is perhaps a physiological/genetic disposition to being gay. The LGBT community would fear being singled out by the data for fueling homophobia, justifiably.

@testchrome1994 ok, i'm really ignorant on the twin thing but i'm sure even if the gay gene existed alot of twins wouldn't both come out as gay because the society we live in shows being gay is wrong, and too many people care about what others think, who knows i could be wrong about the gay gene thing but i believe it is a good explanation
eatmeimsteak 7 months ago

As you age, you become more skeptical about everything, including God...As a college graduate, I have researched the Word of God, God wins in the end!
reinwitgsus 9 months ago

The bible is very clear about God's view on homosexuality... The New testament has Romans 1:26-28 , 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, and 1Timothy1:9-11... If God says that homosexuals will not be in heaven, that is pretty clear that, it is not his will for any of his creations to adopt the homosexual lifestyle...Two of the same sex, can't bring forth life... This is definitely NOT what God had in mind during his creation of man...Good luck trying to convince God that he was wrong...
reinwitgsus 9 months ago
@reinwitgsus
You simply sound like a clown by doing so.
afire007 9 months ago
@afire007 There is no such thing as a gay gene... That is an excuse to follow your lust...Look at a baby, everything is learned...Much of homosexuality, is pure childhood sexual molestation! I have known too many, all with sexual abuse at a young age! We just happen to live in a fallen world, where the enemy is able to creep in and destroy many lives...He then makes people believe that God caused it all! God would never create two of the same to mate , as No life can be made...
reinwitgsus 9 months ago
@reinwitgsus Being gay isn't about having been molested when you were young, thats ridiculous. I wasn't molested when I was young. What crap lol.

sweettyme16 has it absolutely correct. It is a choice or a learned behavior, and you'll notice that once the behavior is learned, it is fostered by society as being "genetic".
LOLiverify 9 months ago
I'm doing a study on this for my sociology class. To me it would make more sense for it to be biological rather than a learned behaviour. However, I have my doubts because if it were genetic, then how do you explain those who are bi-sexual?
MariaJose89 10 months ago
Its not genetic, its just a feeling. Nothing more. They are trying to make being gay into more than it really is. Its not a race or gene or religion. Its a feeling or a sexuality, a turn on. Thats it.

This world is just entirely driven on a "Gay Agenda", coming straight from the pit of Hell! If parents are ignorant of true Christian spirituality and spiritual warfare as Jesus taught, their children will be easy targets for homosexuality... Only being a true believer of Jesus Christ, gives you the power to overcome and have an immunity from this evil agenda... We are in an unseen spiritual battle over good and evil...A gay gene is nonsense, we are just in denial about evil' strongholds...
reinwitgsus 10 months ago
@reinwitgsus lol first off there's no agenda. Thats just some BS religious folks made up so they could justify bigotry. Secondly Jesus never talks about homosexuality, nor does it appear in the new testament at all. Heck, there wasn't even a word for it when the bible was made. The only time it was referenced was in the old testament, and even then it is misinterpreted and out of context as it is put besides some other silly rules like not eating shellfish or having certain haircuts.
snow2B 9 months ago
@reinwitgsus A gay gene is nonsense, we are just in denial about evil' strongholds...
It's about as much nonsense as notion that the earth is round and that it rotates around the sun - two of many ideas that the church also adamantly opposed. There is absolutely no proof that it is learned.

there must be something genetic about it. I'm gay, my mother had two brothers who each had a gay child. While growing up I cannot remember being exposed to gay culture. I knew I liked boys at a very early age
loverboi1756 10 months ago
I would be very surprised if it was discoverred that homosexuality is a learned behavioure. Growing up I was sheltered from the media; no tv, radio ect & we didn't ever hear about it at school or home. As far as I know no one that I knew while growing up was gay and it wasn't incouraged by my family. The same must be true for many Christian & Muslim children but they still end up gay. Growing up I was clearly gay but I didn't even hear the word 'gay' until I was 14. Where did I learn to be gay?

I always get a good laugh when religious people say that "scientific evidence" doesn't support something. LIKE they give two shits about scientific evidence.
oldstock1607 10 months ago
I have no doubt that there is a gay gene. My mother has 4 sisters--2 biological sisters and 2 half-sisters. My mother and both biological sisters have 6 children between them and all are straight. The two half sisters have three kids each, of which, one of each is gay. This tells me that the father of these half-sisters was carrying a gay gene. It even turns out that he had a lesbian sister.
oldstock1607 10 months ago
i hate having the gay gene and i wud opt to have it removed no matter wot the risks were. to me it's a kind of disability. if i were straight i wudnt feel like an outsider all the time and i wudnt hate my life. i dont blame the ppl who hate gays. i blame my genes.
mrinvincible2001 11 months ago
there probably is some gay gene
maybe turning gay is also when conditions make you gay a bit, kinda manipulate you, but in that case, there must be some shit that can make you that
13thmistral 11 months ago
I'm never really sure that with advances in genetic screening and gene therapy that finding the "gay gene" would solve all of our problems.
In fact, with genetic screening and research into gene therapy, it's a bit scary, even if for now that's a bit science fiction.
Various religions believe that being moral, or achieving a higher state without moral judgment per se, is all about overcoming human nature.
Tolerance is not the same as accepting, condoning or promoting personal choses.

While oestrogen masculinises the brain in mice, it does not have the same effect in humans. There is absolutely NO animal model that accurately reflects human sexuality...Pigs don’t date, ducks don’t go to church, and mice don’t fall in love.
funk7000 11 months ago
@funk7000 If you want to say that "no animal model stuff" explain why certain animals are monogamous and only have 1 mate "or date" one animal for their entire life and seek no other after their mate dies.
Angelus001 11 months ago
@Angelus001 For survival of the species, whereas ours is a combination of that among other complex social factors. The reality is we know better, animals simply live off instinct and if they had nearly as many sexual diseases, they'd all be dead. Evolution happens and humans have developed to be an incredible species who has more control over our feelings and actions.
funk7000 11 months ago

@Angelus001- That does not prove that homosexuality can be inherently genetic and/or triggered by genetic blips in the code. The thing that it also doesn't explain is how that happens in a natural setting. It doesn't matter if mice or apes have the same genetic material, for they share no alternate motivations or higher emotions that lead humans to these same decisions.
funk7000 11 months ago
@funk7000 Thank you!! you made my point.
Angelus001 11 months ago
If anybody thinks that rodents are relevant to the study of human sexuality, they're simply grabbing for the end of their rope of desperation. This particular "research" does nothing to suggest there's the same connection in humans - it just proves there is in rodents. By deleting the enzyme-producing gene, the scientists caused the female mice to be exposed to extra oestrogen, by preventing their brains from filtering out the hormone.
funk7000 11 months ago

Stop listening to all this idiotizing screamy propaganda!
suddenlyitsobvious 1 year ago
@suddenlyitsobvious I assume you are religious and that is the reason for your opinion. To be gay, straight, bisexual, etc. is not a choice. I cannot choose right now to be sexually attracted to another man because I am straight. If you are gay (which I have a feeling you might describe yourself as such) it is completely possible that you are actually bisexual. So to you you would have a choice of which gender you wanted to have sex with, but for the rest of us we have no choice in the matter.
ndvak13 11 months ago
@ndvak13
" I assume you are religious "
No, I'm not religious at all. And I don't think it's a choice to be homosexual, in fact I know it isn't.
However, and here's the point: it is NOT because people haven't chosen their sexuality that it is inborn.
People often tend to think in these binaries that are in fact a result of programming -through our mere functioning in society. You just did it yourself:
if I don't agree with a dogmatic or supposedly scientific view,...
suddenlyitsobvious 11 months ago
@suddenlyitsobvious I shouldn't have assumed anything about you. I'm sorry about that. It seemed plausible to me at the time that you were "ex-gay" and you had prayed your gay away. lol
Beyond that I think we would agree on nearly everything you have said. I will say I have much faith in the scientific process to eventually find the answers we seek. (Not to say that you don't.)
ndvak13 11 months ago
@ndvak13
Hi,
No I haven't any faith whatsoever in the scientific process and consider the pure scientific method is a theoretical abstraction, and illusion that doesn't exist in reality. In my view, science isn't about finding truth and besides some clever technologies in the engineering department it hasn't managed to explain ANYTHING about life to my satisfaction.
The masses are today controlled by science in pretty much the same way the old Israelites were controlled by the pharisees...
suddenlyitsobvious 11 months ago
@ndvak13
(2).. I must then PER DEFINITION be religious. Well, you actually said "I assume", so you did leave some room for doubt, but you catch my drift:
A versus B.
Evolution OR Creationism.
Inborn OR choice, nurture OR nature...
Things are more complex than that and science is overrated where it's understanding of life is concerned.
Technology is its forte, but it knows hardly anything of the human mind.

Again, this myth has been used for strategic reasons by gay militants, ...
suddenlyitsobvious 11 months ago
@ndvak13
(4)
...and today countless people claim "it's genetic", but they just BELIEVE that.
In fact that very idea is quite silly.
suddenlyitsobvious 11 months ago
@ndvak13
(5)
There are of course reasons why the sex drive should be canalized into that direction, and these reasons have nothing to do with a conscious choice. It would take a lot of talking to convey what these reasons in my opinion are, but consider for now that if the system itself doesn't understand homosexuality -and it doesn't- then we need to look at the issue more subtly.
A good start is to differentiate between sexuality itself and its orientation.
suddenlyitsobvious 11 months ago
@ndvak13
(6)
I think homosexuality is as solid a preference as heterosexuality, and homosexuals have no more choice in the matter than straights.
Of course, there are those that can have it both ways, but in my opinion a large portion of those claiming "I'm bisexual" often are really hesitating homosexuals...
suddenlyitsobvious 11 months ago
(6) "marriage, adoption, equal rights, oppression, victims, tolerance, hate, and of course: HOMOPHOBIA."
"Homophobia", a term borrowed from psychiatry (phobia) to push home that anyone contradicting the agenda has a mental disorder.
All this regurgitating of propaganda and lack of critical thought and complete absence of an ACTUAL GAY CULTURE is really too bad. Too bad so many gays can't see they are simply being taken for a ride.
suddenlyitsobvious 1 year ago
(5) Obviously, a three year old kid is not dreaming of coKk. It's completely psychotic and degnerate notion.
I'd advise the poster of this video to show the evidence rather than repeating "a lesbian gene" was found, which is simply a blatant lie...
Truth is what it is, not what you want it to be. Don't trust the experts, use your mind.
Sadly, many gays on youtube can only regurgitate the same kind of propaganda that their television constantly throws at them:
suddenlyitsobvious 1 year ago

...THERE IS NO RELATION between size of genome and complexity of organism, which means that some amoebe have a genome size about 200 times bigger than the human genome. Imagine that! Geneticists have no problem with this issue, that all by itself basically shows the ENTIRE GENETIC PARADIGM is seriously flawed.
Science has become a true religion in society. Gayness cannot be understood without understanding the society in which is takes place.
suddenlyitsobvious 1 year ago
(3)

There are none.
suddenlyitsobvious 1 year ago
There are many gays that would like homosexuality to be genetically based, since when you're "born that way", then "it's not your fault".
Gay activism has consistently popularizd this notion for strategic reasons. Many gays fell for it, also because since they don't remember having made a conscious choice, they typically figure: "oh, it must be innate then."
But do people remember having learned english?
