good guide... but you should NEVER use nails for this kinda work... allways use screws and predrill with a smaller diameter drill to prevent the plywood from splitting...

If he was using glue on all the joints and using a nailgun, MAYBE it would be okay. But a hammer?
Wood glue (yellow carpenter's glue) and drywall screws are the way to make sure that thing never comes apart.

yes but with the screws you are more likely to split the wood id rather use small diameter nails with a nail gun.
