Many thanks, but I'm well aware of my limitations!! - Freddy and Marlene sent me this tune done by an award winning bunch of musos a while ago, and I was so taken with it, I tried to have a go myself.
My husband's father and his whole family line has lived in Marietta, GA, outside Atlanta, over 180 yrs worth. But he went to England to get a Ph.D in Theology and received an MRS. instead. He married a Brit from Boar's Hill, Oxford, England in '58. Isn't life funny that'a way? You're fun to listen to and talk to. Thank Ya'll very much for your sweet words, kind sir. (smile)
Fun that you found this one.... sadly, I've not yet managed to find myself any bluegrass players who'd have me, but it remains an ambition to learn some of these great tunes... friends in the US sent me a brilliant version of this tune, and I had a go at it....
Whereabouts are you in the South?
I'm nearly a blushin at your fine comment glendagable, many thanks, and I'm so happy to be listened to!!!
I am in good ol' Hot-lanta also known as Atlanta, GA. Although I was in Tenn, NC, and VA, my father was in the Navy and we moved around on the coast a lot before I came here 20-some yrs ago. more...
- Got me laughing there John! - I struggle on - you know how it is - Some times it's good, others it 'aint! - Inspiration counts for a lot, I reckon. - Hey, this Youtube's some kind of fun though, huh?
I confess, this was actually 18 hours, including one before, which was abandoned for being a bit too slow. - I do learn from these processes, and of course it is fun!
- Never really satisfied with the result, but hey, one day I'll paint my masterpiece!
Hey Perry! An honour to have you drop by, O mighty bluesman! (glad I had a tidy up!)Thanks for encouraging words. I mean really, this stuff is for playing live, but I'm tryin' to learn here, and keep in practise. Any chance of seeing the Killer Blues Band together again?
Thanks a lot for stopping by! This kind of stuff just doesn't get heard much in the UK, and it's taken me till now, really to get a handle on it, so to speak. All I know is I've always loved foot tappin' tunes.
- sure I've seen your work all over YT,but only 3 vids on your channel?(Great canon rock - can I borrow your ol' electric guitar?-only kidding!) - Glad you like this; bluegrass is where I'd like to be at.
Hiya Freddy! - Hoping this might make you smile! - I was knocked out by the Brad Davis and Greenbroke performance, I just thought I'd have a go in my stumbly kind of way.
-29 scene changes in there, but luckily, they all lined up more or less first time.
Hey Baz! Great to hear from you, thanks. This one was another bit of a saga; did it once, then it was getting slower and slower, so I scrapped it, and started again. - bit scruffy here, but hey, huge fun, and some learning for me. Takamine is sounding nice, just need to play it properly! 29 scene changes edited, all more or less right first time!
Yeeeeeehaw! Happin'commentage there, young Sir D. - Got this mando on eb*y a while ago - think it's been in someone's garden for ten years or so - the frets are all lifted out of the 'board. - Still - doesn't sound too bad, eh? Thanks for the lyrical critique. - How much more to wait before another Bodine tune? B:-)
Hey thanks Ant! My only stock footage to decorate vids with is driving(daytime) or driving(nightime)!
thanks for mail.. speak soon,
