oh please plenty of fighters could have beaten a prime rjj. he generally fought weak opposition, and did as little fighting as possible, just jabbed and ran most of the time. a good boxer puncher like tommy hearns could have definitely knocked him out cold.
Emassacre1 is right. No one was ever close to the prime RJJ. Thornton was a good fighter but looked like an amateur against Roy. Sad to see Roy loose against the completely boring Calzaghe. He was no way near his prime in that match and will never be.
These were flat out the days that roy was trully unstoppable like his song said... lol... one of the fastest hands ever, punching power in both hands, super quick and light on his feet, reflexes of a cat, and smart fighter... today he has no energy and spends all his time on the ropes :-( Roy used to go 12 rds without getting tired (thats how well conditioned he was)... all the talents he relied on are the first things to go in a fighter which is why he looks bad now. No where near the sameguy

Yeah that would be nice if he fought all of them but honestly none of them said they wanted to face Roy Jones. They should have done what Ricky Hatton did when he wanted to fight Mayweather.
WOW! unbelievable i just wished he would have faced Nigel been, Chris eubank, Dariusz Michalczewski, Steve Collins i believe he would have beat them all but these are the fighters that could take him that step further but, we can only imagine how good roy jones may have been.
I think roy was lose lose with people in his prime cause he was too talented... he made good fighters look bad, so people would have been hating even if he fought and defeated good fighters like dariusz, eubank and benn.. people would have given them some excuse as to why they lost to roy.. lol... but consider this, dariusz went 12 rounds with hill (prime roy beat hill early on with that classic body shot).. eubank went 12 with the very thornton and look how roy schooled him early on :-)
yes but different fighters different fights, you cant compare two fighters based on there performances against fighters both men have fought. Look at Leonard vs Duran 1 look what Duran did to Leonard then look at what Hearns did to Duran and what Leonard did to Hearns? I have to say i believe Roy would have beaten Eubank and Benn i would probably say he beats Dariusz in his toughest fight.
good one... point taken :-) Different styles and different fighters make for different fights altogether :-) Ur right, Eubank probably would have given roy a good fight because of his style... I don't know about Benn though... I think dariusz was real strong but much too slow for roy... roy would have boxed him all the way and roy would have been a hard target for dariusz.... and i think wth roy's hand speed he would have beaten him to the punch each time... but who knows :-)

the only fighter i could ever think would have a chance against a prime jones is henry armstrong
i watched him bang hard with a bloke for 15 rounds today and was as quick in the 15th and throwing just as many punchs as he did in the 1st
