Nobody gives a shit if you think Cloud and Tifa are together/were together/are going to be together/want to be together or if you simply prefer them together. And while the main part of FFVII (and the compilation) is not about romance, C/A shippers in particular tend to distort to the story to such a degree as to make it unrecognizable. The "why" of a story gets lost.
I have had various ones tell me pretty much every action Cloud takes in the entire compilation is about Aerith. Somehow Tifa and Zack get lost in the mix.
Its fan made and yes Cloud does love both Aeris/Aerith and Tifa but refuses to show it and just so you know one reason i believe Cloud fell in love with Aeris/Aerith is cause of Zack

Tifa - as the only female Monk in HISTORY - is definitively NOT what Square thinks about a "Perfect Couple". A shy and demure person together with a sunnyboy/-girl. Aerith fits perfectly.

Years ago when there was only FF7 everything was so clear to everyone - even for clotis. 90% of Cloti arguments were "Aerith is dead, Cloud loves Tifa now" ( no logic and one of the most ridiculous things to say) or "They had sex under HW" (Lack of proof and it is OPTIONAL). Back then even Clotis couldn't disagree that Cloud at least loved Aerith! The relationship of a "family" is so because Tifa acts as a mother to that family - she takes care of Denzel, Marlene and Cloud like a mother would for her children. It was never brought about by romantic feelings. Remember that Tifa was the one who did think up that "family" thing, and Cloud was not involved in it all the time, to the point that Tifa is frustrated and has to work extra hard to keep her "family" together.

It's not a difficult concept to follow. Barret even tells Marlene to be a good Child to C/T as he is leaving. He tells Cid he has left her in their care. I don't know how SE could be more blunt.

@IamVendel Tifa clearly thinks that her "family" is just a support group. In the revised CoT, Barret thought of making a family, Marlene invited Cloud to be part of it. However, ever since Cloud started his job, things became tougher on the "family". Cloud wasn't around most of the time, Tifa tried to do something about it but failed miserably, and cue in Marlene talking about it to her father. "Tifa thought she could get over anything while being with friends that she could call her family.

And while the main part of FFVII (and the compilation) is not about romance, C/A shippers in particular tend to distort to the story to such a degree as to make it unrecognizable. The "why" of a story gets lost.
I have had various ones tell me pretty much every action Cloud takes in the entire compilation is about Aerith. Somehow Tifa and Zack get lost in the mix.

They in no way contradict what Cloud said in the game. That Tifa never excluded him and that it was his fault because he never tried to talk to her. And that when he finally gets the courage to ask her to the tower, she reciprocates his feelings.
I also find it funny that you quote just one of many conformations of Cloud's love for Tifa.

The only thing these quotes are proving is that Cloud had a crush on a girl he never talked to and that he later fell in love with another girl - a girl that provided him comfort and appreciation.
He said that he thought Tifa hated him and that she would never come to him - however, she does. When she forces him to promise, she begins to develop a strong love for him.

In every lovestory in FF there was a couple. These couples always included a physical fighter and a magical fighter. Cecil and Rosa, Locke and Celes, Cloud and Aerith, Squall and Rinoa, Zidane and Garnet, Tidus and Yuna, Vaan and Penelo, Snow and Serah, and Noctis and Stella. Clerith fits ABSOLUTELY. Tifa - as the only female Monk in HISTORY - is definitively NOT what Square thinks about a "Perfect Couple". A shy and demure person together with a sunnyboy/-girl. Aerith fits perfectly.

After traveling to several places with Cloud and Barret, Tifa opens the bar Seventh Heaven in Edge on the advice of those around her. She was given custody of Marlene from Barret, who had left on a journey to find a new energy source. Together with Cloud, the 3 of them began living together as a family.
Tifa given custody. Marlene is being raised by Cloud and Tifa now.

It wouldn't ACTUALLY work if Marlene would rather have someone else, because that's the way children are. Granted that there was no other choice, and Marlene also knew what her father's job was like, it was still easy to put Marlene under anyone else's care except Tifa, because Tifa herself wasworking for AVALANCHE, and Barrett would have chosen someone normal so that Marlene wouldn't feel too odd.

When AC first came out my friend who saw it before me said "I'm sure you're going to like it, because you like Clerith" and he is very neutral about the whole Aeris,Cloud & Tifa relationship-thing. We all can see it, why can't you? Of course nowadays, because Nomura, doesn't want to disappoint neither shippers it is easier to interpret everything according to your own will.

For me, even when I was 10 years old, it was always very clear that Cloud loved Aerith. Even my mother who randomly watched me playing FF7 and saw the ending demo was like "the main character must love that woman (aerith)". There are nowadays even fights about the hand in the end!!! Some Clotis say it is not Aerith's hand! COME ON!!! Aerith's theme playing on the background...maybe it was Cloud's aunts hand? Even if it wasn't Aerith's hand Cloud would have wanted it to be... Years ago when there was only FF7 everything was so clear to everyone - even for clotis. 90% of Cloti arguments were "Aerith is dead, Cloud loves Tifa now" ( no logic and one of the most ridiculous things to say) or "They had sex under HW" (Lack of proof and it is OPTIONAL). Back then even Clotis couldn't disagree that Cloud at least loved Aerith! Now Clotis try to be psychiatrists and find a weird interpretation for every face expression from Cloud or counter/deeper meaning for everything.

@Firdagniriel Cloud and Tifa being together does not have to be proven. That is not the burden of proof. FIRST you have to prove that they are not. Despite everything telling you they are. THEN you have to try and prove C/A. Neither of which you can actually do.
And if we are being perfectly honest. It was abundantly clear to me that C/T were together when I watched AC. This coming from someone who could have given two shits about who Cloud ended up with.

You have to prove that two people in that situation are not. And you simply can't. @IamVendel LOL. The key word here is "like a family". Well heads up. The relationship of a "family" is so because Tifa acts as a mother to that family - she takes care of Denzel, Marlene and Cloud like a mother would for her children. It was never brought about by romantic feelings. Remember that Tifa was the one who did think up that "family" thing, and Cloud was not involved in it all the time, to the point that Tifa is frustrated and has to work extra hard to keep her "family" together.

And Cloud does not See Tifa as his mother. Something he does equate to Aerith though. And Tifa does not see Cloud as her child. But as the father of the family and her partner. Did you not read CoT? It also makes special mention of Cloud making time to spend with the children. How fatherly of him yes?

As far as I could recall, Marlene was with them because Barrett had to go off mine some oil somewhere and he needs people to take care of Marlene. Cloud doesn't even think Denzel as his son, he just thought Aerith sent the boy to him, which Tifa corrected him in saying.

@Essedel It doesn't matter what you call them. C/T are the primary (only) caregivers of Marlene. They have been since 1 week after 7th Heaven opened and 4 years later they still are. It's not a difficult concept to follow. Barret even tells Marlene to be a good Child to C/T as he is leaving. He tells Cid he has left her in their care. I don't know how SE could be more blunt.
Them talking about Tifa wearing the pants has only one meaning. Cid and Barret can see it plainly why can't you?

@IamVendel Tifa clearly thinks that her "family" is just a support group. In the revised CoT, Barret thought of making a family, Marlene invited Cloud to be part of it. However, ever since Cloud started his job, things became tougher on the "family". Cloud wasn't around most of the time, Tifa tried to do something about it but failed miserably, and cue in Marlene talking about it to her father. "Tifa thought she could get over anything while being with friends that she could call her family.

You do realize that CoT is told in flashback after Cloud has already left and that the beginning of ACC is Cloud at his lowest point? So bad that he has closed himself off even from Tifa. But guess what? He gets over it and returns home to Tifa and the children. That was kind of the point of the fucking movie.

Wow it's almost like some arbitrary game mechanics have no bearing on the STORY of FFVII. You forgot to mention the fact that the HW scene has different versions too, so obviously, it's optional how you want to end up treating Tifa on that fateful night, and >>>it didn't do anything to change the end of the game<<<. Of course how you end up treating her is the result of how you treated her throughout the entirety of the game. But guess what. Whatever "love that happened" during the HW scene surely wasn't too evident in CoT and AC.

It's so odd that Aerith was the only one who appeared throughout the movie NOT in a flashback, except in the end credits. Did he say that he WANTS his sins forgiven by Zack in the movie, not just Aerith? Now if you can provide an instance that it did, then prove it.
