  • Sorry, but it is impossible. Too little projector for this facade in this brigth street.

  • NewYork right?? maybe that's why most cars in that video don't stop behind the zebracross line... lol

  • what's the name of the song please ?

  • I was all excited thinking this was awesome trippy techno song.. then they started speaking :(

  • after fx ?

  • no........ quite clearly this game is bigger than you......

  • Interesting :)

  • a better nice effect would be if the window he clicks the light woul turn on or off

  • And just tell me how that would be possible? :) Exactly.

  • well, i'm no engineer, but they could make some kind of device so that every lights would 'know' here the cursor was clicking and it would turn on or off!! (maybe a bit expensive to do, but not impossible) :)

  • But the entire point of the device is to put designs on buildings without owning the building...

  • And the fact people might not want their lights turned on and off.

  • i was only saying that it's possible!

  • It is possible.

But the "graffiti" standpoint is that you do stuff with existing structures to get a message across people.

  • brilliant!

  • its aiite

  • cool idea

  • this song gave me a fucking headache

  • Yep cool looks good

  • cool

  • wat? I dont get it

  • glasgow lol tht shit hole

  • such a great idea, they have something similar over here in Glasgow (Scotland) Radisson Hotel, they project images onto the front facade, pretty cool

  • Good idea. Graffiti that does not damage property.

  • un bel video!

  • wtf

  • is that the maritime hotel?

  • is that the Maritime hotel?

  • heyt... good Idea, I like...

I need more information about the project...

    Whats de root..? really.

De verdad es bueno... tienes mas..?

    i´m from Mxli, Mex.

  • FOUND THE MUSIC, for anyone that is interested. . .

the track is "R U Double F" by Ruff Sqwad

the type of music is called UK grime, it's like english version of U.S rap/hip-hop. . .pretty cool

  • Further through your abilities to make an interesting film, lapsing etc, I suspect you may be doing something real, so with respect as one has to submit to scientific journals, explain yourselves? No one will argue with it if doubts are silenced... recognition is worth more in Architectural design than money :)

  • I have trouble with a Sanyo 1200 ANSI projector being able to project that sort of image on a wide FOV at the acute angle of a sidewalk/pavement. Further though I can imagine how it would be possible to map the areas of windows on the building to a screen aspect through html /jscript mapping from say a photo etc... I have to ask is that what you are doing and if so why do you not make your methods transparent? Architecture, after all, should not be a guarded practise but a sharing one.

  • I am a final year undergraduate reading Architectural Design and an ex Technical Manager of Sound, Lighting, and Video companies. Sorry I have to agree with the crit's; Interactive architecture is about a direct link between persons' input into a system and it's response. Now I am not debunking what you are doing just challenging in a respectfull way...continued

  • wow this is great

  • i'm a bit dissapointed

  • me too

  • cool.... it is interesting..

  • chaedee - have you portained them?

  • suposidly the projection can interact with the surface .. notice how the pointer turns into a hand over the windows .. probibly edited in after they projectid the light tho and told the computer to turn into a hand over thoes pixles

  • architecture is just not facades is about spaces, you cant call that interactiva architecture a better name will be interactive or digital graffiti. But it can be usefel to make regular facades into more interesting facades.

  • Its definetly UK Grime. Its sounds Like Dizzie Rascal is on at least part of the track

  • can we have the title of the music plz ?

  • That song was awesome! Who was it?

  • mmhhh, an where is the interactive architecture? I nly see a projector "projecting" UNUSEFUL gay lights nito a wall. Thats all.

  • So you couldn't tell how the cursor changed when it went over a window that had its light on? And you didn't notice that the projection was able to play connect the dots with the windows?

  • that was amazing

  • weird how so many people hate the music. . .i thought the music was awesome, it's called "uk grime"? i'd like to hear more, or at least the title and artisit of this song

btw, the projector thing was cool, but i've seen something else in NYC that was similar but much better. . .

  • awesome.... but the music....-.-

  • I can't believe your small beamer can cover the all building ? what is its reference ? How many lumens ? What the distance between building&beamer ?

  • sick music

  • oh yeah, music was heavy 2!

  • bredrin dis good stuff! wat year are you? i have just completed my degree in BA arch.

  • -_- Wtf is this?

  • what is the music ?

  • Nice vid! very clever shame about the music! sadly spoils the vid!

  • whats wrong with the music uk grime MASIVE woot

  • cool but looks like the projector is a little small doesnt cover the whole building. still looks like something that has potential for some interesting stuff.

  • imagine playing games on it like teris or wow

  • hmm whats with the cam guy looking into the lens a lot... he must have a lens fetish lol

  • Wow, it's awsome !

  • boy! somthimg sure sucks ass.....

  • So the world is not yet ready for u.k. grime.

  • nice try at guerilla art... concept was somewhat remedial but nice try... music sucked ass and ruined the effect they were going for...

  • i'm not sure that first example of that generative graffiti would be all that great... It kinda looked like the building was forming stress cracks and maybe could of fallen apart...

but cool non the less, but get rid of that music

  • Such a fantastic idea, shame the music ruins the effect.

  • wow this blew my mind away :D

  • That's the most stupidest music i've ever heard !

  • there is a white van at 1:16 that stops for 1 half green light and 2 full red lights to watch what your doing lol

  • the song IS rad!!!!!!

    great stuff dude!

  • Very nice but that is, without doubt, the shittiest "music" I've ever heard.

  • of course a fucking country music and pop-charts listener wouldn't like grime, but who fucking gives a shit about your opinion!?!?!?!?!

(the same as nobody gives a shit about my opinion!)

  • lol <i>"who fucking gives a shit about your opinion"</i>

You obviously do, you stupid German kraut, otherwise you wouldn't be foaming at the mouth like Hitler complaining about how fucking SHIT this music is.

  • way to generalize you fucking twat.

  • take it easy, boludaso!

  • Amazing Interactive Architecture !!!!!

[the messaje down here is for: LadyDeer]

  • nice :))

  • lame music

  • so theyre basically using buldings as projection screens

  • ha, I don't know why nobody has noticed that it's not even interacting with the windows on the building... and that the yellow and black dots are part of the projection, as an illusion so it seems as if it really is interacting alone with the windows and nothing else

  • Don't know what you expect, when you hear "interacting", but I saw a succes...and the black dots are windows without light and the yellow windows with light....

  • this is cool, i tryed this before. it was on my wall and i was playing pong, same as the video on the front page! cool

  • This song is rad.

  • This is the worst song I've ever heard in my life.

  • dizzy rascal

    wicked

  • So, who is "interacting" with what?

  • the projected light is interacting with the windows. the windows that have a light on inside em are being recognized. its not makin em light up, its an actual room with a light on

  • nothing special :(

  • Que coisa sem graça.

  • I had never seen anyone who had treated architecture as such a large scale toy...

  • Nice, but so what?-its a glorified drive in theater.

  • i have a 2000 lumens projector and it wouldnt show up that good with that much light i tried before

  • So you are telling me you projected that with a 1200 ANSI Lumen projector from a pavement (sidewalk) as intimated by the intro? No certainly with that amount of ambient light in the scene you didn't. I've worked with people who use 70mm film and large format slides on buildings that size and they use water cooled Xenon projectors built into the back of 9 tonne trucks. You could project onto a wall 5 metres away at best with that kit.

  • Well, I can't really see an interaction with the surface it is projected on. Besides that it looks fancy in fast forward, the use of particle systems somehow moving over the surface...I guess it needs a lot of improvement to be called interactive architecture. Momentarily, it's just some projections on a facade. Nothing new. Sorry.

  • Watch from 0:36 - 0:54 again. When the mouse moves over a window with a light on, it acts as a link on a Web page.

  • cool indeed.

  • muy buena idea. felicitaciones

  • oh .

  • Very nice and cool! =D But the music wasn't so good. I think it is good art, whoever is doing it, keep up with the good work. ;D

  • cool- it looks a bit like a spider web. were the ppl in the building aware of it? or is that a really dumb question... :)

  • nice, but try to post it without speed, you won´t see nothing, nice trick

  • provocating kind of art

  • Really awesome...can't wait to see more!

  • haha, I like it!! cool idea! :D

  • very good!!!.

    congratulations!.

    from madrid.

  • WHat song is that?? awesome track!

  • good stuff...
