do we need some kind of bios to run nintendo64 games??? or just install the app and put games in folder and play like drNokSnes emulatore does

@nexthacker007 no bios required (unlike psx emulators) , just download and install the app and place the games roms in a folder of your chosing

how can i setup the controls because i went to options and changed them but they still stay the same could you help me please im dieing to play mario kart 64

@jamesrob26 U need to look at the controls carefully they are all there in the diagram when you go into the options. To customse or enable the D pad you will have to edit the X and Y axis which is on the same page, and for the buttons you will have to mess around with till you find the right 1s. Button A is accelerate so assign that where you want.

I want to get the most out of using my N900 but am totally useless with tech!!!

Where do I get the Emulators from and then will I need to pay for the games etc???

Also, can I buy the Game Gripper on the High Street?

@TheTaiLam Thanks for the comment! Gamegripper is available online only, if u do find it on the high street then most likely you will pay more for it. In my video I have mentioned that the emulators are free and they are available in the extras-devel repository. Google n900 repositories, there is a wikki page on it or check the description in my other vids.

As for doing guides on other emulators.....if i get enough requests then i will take it on board.

@mauriciopich use the GUI version, im using that now and its easier to do. Check my other video, ive got the gamegripper working with it! :)

@mauriciopich you have to go into Configure which is in the options along the top and enable a graphics plugin as by default it is set to nothing which is strange. I would also disable the audio plugin while you are there as it is still jumpy an annoy you.

hey great video. i dowloaded mupen64plus v1.5 is that the latest because when i tried to play mario64 i get to the 1st screen were you see marios face and it asks you to press start but theres no start button and i cant seem to change the key board configuration, any advice? I was also woundering would you be able to make a video for setting up the psx4all emulator or the psx4m whichever works better because i can barely use xterminal. thanks

@Paddyr6 Ive not used the newer or Gui version but ive heard the controls are easy to change on that. The controls for me were worse to change lol The comma button is the start key which is next to delete back arrow key on the top right.

As for the psx emulator, that is nowhere near the n64 state an to show that wouldnt be great, as games run slow on it at the moment
