  • At 5:10, your right, because it says it on the leaflet for the planet of the daleks dvd case.

  • great review mate! I wasn't gonna get this, but i will now, they're selling it at the BBC shop! The black and gold supreme is actually from Dr Who and the Daleks, not Dalek Invasion of Earth 1250 AD! I LOVED genesis of the daleks, can't wait for that dalek, i bought the FP 3rd dr and Death to the daleks dalek exclusive, and its the only classic dalek I have, I could do with more Classic daleks! I LOVE The Dalek Contaigon so far! Keep up the good work!

  • @Stippled They are re-releasing the dalek collectors set? cool, but by the way, the dalek supreme casing IS from Daleks invasion earth 2150 AD, and NOT from Dr Who and the Daleks.

  • I really want a dead planet dalek seeing as I painted my other one but I don't want to pay £60 for a new one.

  • yes u r right the base is from the peter cushing movie

  • you got the movie name wrong 2050a.d not 2060a.d

  • Eventually Character Options will do the movie Daleks, Tardis and of course Peter Cushing

  • @randomdave30 there not liscenced to do them

  • I heard Ray Cusick say he used Ping Pong balls for the first daleks. Then he used Morris Minor lights or whatever a bit later in the chase.

The Planet of the Daleks dalek is the Gold supreme Dalek from daleks invasion of earth. I also heard the torch they used for the eyestalk is a EverReady torch if anyone is interested.

  • odly enough, I got a dead planet dalek with a genesis dalek's gun. How the hell did they manage that!!!

  • awsome review i have subed sub back thanks

  • its 2150 ad

  • I shall correct thee,it was from the crap dalek movies but after them they

gave it to the bbc as a gift so terry nation decided it would be good in a dalek

story so he changed the arm so it's from both the shit dalek movies & planet

    of the daleks.

  • 4;56, You can see how that dalek gave ideas about the modern ones :)

  • the second dalick is from the first film

  • Comment removed

  • Morris Minor indicator lights I believe...

  • TheTinTrooper, i thort it was. well now i now, thanks for the info.

  • the planet dalek was the gold dalek from dalek invason earth 2150AD

  • @milliput101 No. It wasn't.

  • my fav dalek style is the day of the daleks which didnt change up until the 6th doctor

fav dalek stories are genisis & resurection

  • @mikesgtrs1

The Genesis ones. I did like their look in Remembrance, though. A bit more crisper.

I liked the Dead Planet through to Death to the Daleks, story wise.

  • Batmanmarch, which eye rings you prefer? The Dead Planet ones or the post-Dead Planet ones? For some reason, I like the Dead Planet ones alot.

  • "The Dead Planet" sounds more dramatic than "The Daleks". I always call that story "The Dead Planet" myself.

  • i have this set =D

  • would we stick a acion figure in a rdge lolz?

  • I have got this set!

  • In episode 3 of "The Chase", you can see a "Dalek Invasion of Earth" Dalek going down the lift in their time machine.

  • I think it's from the Dead Planet, if you are referring to the cardboard cutout, since they were used in Dead Planet first.

  • A Golden Emperor from the Dalek comics would be my holy grail. :D

  • That would be amazing!!

  • The only Emperor I like.

  • The movie daleks were first used in The Chase to pad out the numbers so the film daleks were first seen on TV before the films came out

  • they should make planet of the daleks and rememebarance of the daleks daleks

  • The Dead Planet dome lights were actually x-mas lights, and then ping-pong balls were popped over them to conceal the lights' yule time secret. :D

  • I call the story, "The Dead Planet" as well, sound more dramtic. ;)

  • I have the Supreme Dalek....I sooooo wish I could get a half dozen of the Dead Planet Daleks and the Genesis Daleks loose.....and not be forced to pay an arm and a leg for them.....it's hard getting any Who figures in the US. x_X;

  • where'd you get them?

  • I bought my first set online from Voga and my second at Toys R Us.

  • don't you reckon they should make a Davros one of these?

  • I'd love it! All three versions please!! (Not counting Gooderson as he looked the same as Wisher's Davros but Wisher was much better of course)!

  • YES! IT'D BE GREAT TO HAVE AN ACTUAL FIGFURE OF TERRY MOLLOY'S DAVROS! Rather then them crappy little Corgi's :) and itd be great to have Michael, but I don't think they'd do Julian he's already out, but perhaps they would, a boxset of Davros 1, 3 and 4! Michael, Terry and Julian! how brilliant!

  • the peter cushing films actully used the planet of the daleks dalek supreme and changed it into a gold dalek or yellow in the film

  • but the Cushing films were made before? so the bbc used the Cushing dalek for the series.

  • the first Cushing film was made after the first Doctor Who story with the daleks, it was a remake of that.

  • Technically, "Frontier in Space" wasn't an actual Dalek story, they just appeared at the end with the Master.

  • cool first part of the review, those Daleks look well good

  • i think it was good they got rid of those big

plungers from the episode daleks and that and when they invaded earth the plunger would sretch out well far like to boom sticks good thing they shorted them down

  • thats write, the dalek supreme from planet of the daleks started life as the gold chifted daleks in "dalek invasion earth 2150. hope that helps. Aaron T Izzard

  • Ah thanks for clearing that up for me. I thought it was, but I wasn't 100%.

  • u could tell casue there huge boompers

  • hi!

yes you're right, the lights from the dead planet dalek (and for most classic daleks) were from mini coopers.

    5 stars

  • Thanks for clearing that up for me. I thought it was the case but I wasn't 100% sure. Thanks again!

  • great review i really wish i had that ace background.

  • Thanks!

  • Wow Great Review And The Supreme Dalek Does Look A Lot Like A One From The Movie

  • Thankyou!

  • Yeah i Think That Dalek was taken from the Dalek Movies but re coloured it Gold and Black

  • You are the first person i've seen making reviews of these daleks and says that the supreme dalek is one of the movie daleks (the one that was owned by Terry Nation who bought the prop).

  • I thought it deserved to be mentioned! There's that very famous picture of him standing outside his home with various types that he owned, this Supreme Dalek being one of them.

  • Cool review well done!

  • Thankyou!

  • brilliant! 5 stars

  • Thanks!

  • yes it is from dalek invasion of earth 2150ad one of the daleks in the control room is gold and black that is the supreme dalek because you never see him die. good review when I watched this I was also watching dalek invasion of earth 2150 ad good review 100000000000000000000000000000000000/10
