I ride a HD Road King, and have ridden it from NC to WY with the wife on back and while pulling a trailer. I also ride it regularly 12 months a year, rain or shine, hot or cold. My point is I've got lot's of road miles on a HD.
Harley may have newer technology like moike777 said below, but if that's the case, why are they having so much trouble with their cam chain tensioners on the Twincam 88?
Harley might look old, but only because it represents freedom and tradition. However, the technology in the new Harley's is far superior to the Vision. Victory essentially is old technology, old fuel injection systems, old computers etc. Harley looks old on the outside, but the components such as the Delphi fuel injection, cylinder shut down, new frame, new designed tires make it very up to date. Why change the look of an American icon? However the Vision is a step in the right direction.
Good spokeswoman for the bike. I rode one (w/trunk) and it was as EZ to ride as any bike out there due to the low C of G. Made my Bandit's suspension seem like junk. I might ride the wheels off my Bandit then find one of these somewhere. Luxury touring at its finest.
