Hey Eric thanks for sharing this. Usually drummers go for the all written out-all chewed up type of exercises. Interpretation is where its at! One piece of information that we can transform and as you said "get more mileage out of (...)"

In my edition of ted reed's book this is pg 38... "exercise one" in the syncopation section.
