nice cavy man.. i just got one for my second car. it has 75,000 miles on it. 1 owner no accidents. new tires/brakes/rotors and a powering steering pump. its the ls sport version so it has the factory custom rims and body kit. its a 5 spped manual.. i payed 4,000 for it/ 68 bucks a month. not one spec of rust on it. and its all power so it has a sunroof and everything. i gotta say these things are quick. i use to have a 95 ford thunderbird and my new cavy blows it out of da water lol..

dam dude nice and sweetness72rawr i also have the 2.2 but mines a 2000 2 door rs and the sound of it with straight piped and my magnaflow exghuast isnt bad its like 100$ to straight pipe it and for my exghuast i got it used so it was cheap and sounds good but if you go t oriellies or how ever u say it do not get the spectre air intake its a peice!!! i just useing metal piping now for it they say it fits the 2.2 but its just plastic junk

where did you get that interior dash from? those 3 gauges look great in there...although here in TX, those vents are almost a necessity, with 100+ temps.

I really like this car. I dont have a z24 unfortunately, I just have the 2.2. I love my car. Should I put any kind of aftermarket performance in the engine? I wanna make it have a quick acceleration.. Still looking for an aftermarket exhaust system..I want one baddd.

@sweetness72rawr If you wanna put any aftermarket performance on it make sure to upgrade the tranny first, otherwise you may blow it if you put too much at it

@Kyler2013 depends. The problem is people hate on anything that isnt what they own. The 'ricer' term is when someone takes a (typically 4 cylinder) car and puts cheesey, distasteful mods on it that are all show and no go. If you mod a car with simple, clean mods, theres nothing wrong with it. But big spoilers are for high speeds, most people dont run 100+ on a reg basis, so its pointless. If you go for show, then do it right. If you go for go and want looks, keep it clean.

I had a 2000 chev cav z24 2.4l 4 cylinder. It wasnt supercharged, or boosted but I loved it. Unfortunately the dealership failed to mention the warped/cracked head it had, and after 2 weeks the radiator (mechanic said) looked like it exploded. I wish I still had it to mod, and play around with. I've got a 00' chev silv 5.3L v8 now. I'm getting a 600cc mtorcycle this spring to replace my need for a manual vehicle.

One question. Why is your check engine light on? Could it be because you are trying to pull boost when you havent modded the rest of the engine or have you prepped it for boost? I have a 2002 Cavalier 2.2 Ecotec with an axle-back racing exhuast, new high compression pistons, connecting rods, valves, valve springs, cams, cam gears, and crankshaft and it runs perfectly with no engine malfunctions whatsoever. Too many brands to remember lol. Most of them came from AEM, JE, etc. Not too bad, bro.

I'm pretty sure in Cavaliers, and most if not all GM vehicles, have a governor that doesn't let you go over 107. There's no way in hell your car pulls more than a supercharged engine.
