  • This is amazing Im tracking down this vid asap this is up there with clapton explaining how his sg/wah pedal makes his woman tone mmmm

  • Sc" Sc" Scratching in the mix with Cameron Paul..

  • No serato! this is the man!!

  • Cameron Paul... Studio West Nor~Cal, Studio 47 SJ, and many places I recall him at, including Sound Factory live on for technics MK II's, San Fracisco... He's insane.. certanly a pioneer Dj culture.

    Thanks for posting!

  • yeah i also used to dj like this back in the 70s. i was dominating the world sir, 4real bro. too bad i didnt have a webcam back then so i could stream it to the world, or it would have been clear that i actually founded kraftwerk and was the first who suggested building a large hadron collider. also delia derbyshire was my daughter. peace out

  • ...This guy is good!

  • studio west

  • the best & studio 47

  • YES ... THE RHYTHM!

  • A pioneer.

  • Bay area legend.

  • AWESOME!

  • this guy Rocks! ..

  • lbflb the baddest DJ Of them all..Mikey!

  • Wow - can't believe this is on YouTube! This is what got me started back in the 80's, and maybe still the BEST instructional DJ video that I've found out there. Cheesy, but CP was a great communicator!

  • AWESOME!!!

  • One of my top 5 favorite DJs of all time!!

  • Esse cara é uma lenda p nós que curtimos o miami, freestyle e old skool. Parabéns DJ

  • True Legend. My inspiration of becoming a DJ myself

  • he was good, but he's not THA JUGGANAUT BITCH!!!!!

  • this brings back memories! As a kid, I used to listen to KMEL for his mix shows and sit there with my tape deck and records all his mixes! Before Cameron Paul, there was Micheal Ericson.

  • this one's a bit lame for 1988-ish. cameron paul made awesome remixes on his reel to reels, but on turntables, he was never anything that great. there were far better dj's using 2 or 3 decks at that time.

i still have dozens of his mixx-it records, which consist of some of his best work.

  • Cameron was indeed not the most skilled dj,, but he had a fine taste for blending the right songs, and decomposing parts.

  • keep trying & you'll reach that point lol!

  • Back in da dayz, i heard his remixes on the radio here in the Philippines..he is really ahead of his time..-DJ THERMITES

  • real advanced skillz at the time. cameron paul is god!

  • greatest dj of all time

  • Haha, the original DJ Tutor. Awesome.

  • this is awesome

  • "advanced mixing techniques"

    LOL classic!

reminds me of the days when I DJ'd in the 80's! i miss those days

  • man he just threw that Hashim 12" :( I never heard of him but he's got true old school skills.

  • Yeah, we only ever really hear about Chicago and NYC DJ's, but never about the guys from Miami or Cali. really. The dude is one of the best from San Fran.

  • Ahh yeah, I'd love to see the whole video! I've got his CCCP remixes :)

  • HA. I had this video. Can you put other clips up from it? thanks.

  • Nice OG clip steelo999!

Bay Area Fool myself growing up in the 80's and rock this guy's remixes on my Technics boombox up and down Fisherman's Wharf.
