Cameron Paul... Studio West Nor~Cal, Studio 47 SJ, and many places I recall him at, including Sound Factory live on for technics MK II's, San Fracisco... He's insane.. certanly a pioneer Dj culture.
yeah i also used to dj like this back in the 70s. i was dominating the world sir, 4real bro. too bad i didnt have a webcam back then so i could stream it to the world, or it would have been clear that i actually founded kraftwerk and was the first who suggested building a large hadron collider. also delia derbyshire was my daughter. peace out
Wow - can't believe this is on YouTube! This is what got me started back in the 80's, and maybe still the BEST instructional DJ video that I've found out there. Cheesy, but CP was a great communicator!
this brings back memories! As a kid, I used to listen to KMEL for his mix shows and sit there with my tape deck and records all his mixes! Before Cameron Paul, there was Micheal Ericson.
this one's a bit lame for 1988-ish. cameron paul made awesome remixes on his reel to reels, but on turntables, he was never anything that great. there were far better dj's using 2 or 3 decks at that time.
i still have dozens of his mixx-it records, which consist of some of his best work.
Yeah, we only ever really hear about Chicago and NYC DJ's, but never about the guys from Miami or Cali. really. The dude is one of the best from San Fran.
can i get those records!!! seriously, what is the track id's here? anyone?

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Ha ha I was mixing like that after 5 months of practice.
By the age of 17 in 1986 i was dominating the DJ scene in Northern Cali.
This is great footage of Cameron Paul.
Too bad I never video taped any of my sets back in the 80's but cameras were way too expensive back in the dayz.

Cameron was indeed not the most skilled dj,, but he had a fine taste for blending the right songs, and decomposing parts.
