I have no problem with Gorgeous Sweet Flower (just focus and move a little to the left or right to dodge the bullets)

Rainbow Wind Chime needs practice ; I used to be scared of this spell and stopped dodging then -bam- ... Gives me vertigo >_>

Colorful Rain is pretty easy just some skillfull dodging

And Extreme Color Typhoon is... BOMB BOMB BOMB LET'S PASS TO STAGE 4 ~_~

I use MarisaA, she clears spells really quickly. But Master Spark > Stardust Reverie ;o

there r more than 1 way to dodge color rainbow wind 1 hard way (the more efective)

and the 2th (the easiest but not so efective) 1st way: same way as the movie 2nd way: follow the ways between the bullets (if u know what i mean)

I actually find her Gorgeous Sweet Flower and Color Rainbow Wind Chime to be fairly easy if you move correctly.

Besides, Meiling's nothing compared to Patchy and Sakuya. I always tripped up on those two boss fights. :V

Well, I don't have trouble with Gorgeous Sweet Flower anymore, but Color Rainbow Wind Chime just annoys me. I know how to move through it, but I still always end up getting hit. :/ Patchy is fairly easy, but her very first attack is the most annoying to me for some odd reason. After that, I don't have too much trouble, maybe with Metal Fatigue, but that's it. Sakuya is kind of easy up to the point of the green knives. :x

Patchy is fairly easy? She's hell with ReimuB! And maybe that's because you play in Normal mode. Hard and Lunatic Mode is really hell :P

Gourgeous Sweet Flower and Selaginella 9 are easy if you know what to do, so as Color Rainbow Wind Chime in all modes. Only her last spellcards are harder.

Gaining extra lives tends to be different in different Touhou games, but in EoSD...

You can acquire lives with points, or the purple 1up items.

You get an extra life at 10, 20, 40, and 60 million points.

You have to be on full power.

Its called death-bombing. It happens if you press the bomb button at the excact moment a bullet hits your hit-box. Its pretty easy to do in Imperishable Night but it takes a lot of timing to do otherwise.

He started with 5 lives instead of the default 3. Then he got two lives from reaching 10 and 20 million score. You get anotherone for reaching 40 and 60 i think.

You also get 2 additional lives by defeating the Stage 3 and Stage 5 mid-boss. Its the same thing for all the Touhou games except for Subterranean Animism in which the life system is completely different.

I beat it without continuing finally... I was on my last life with no bombs and when I killed her I did my victory dance of awesome.

And yeah, I found SA a little weird... But I liked collecting the star pieces from capturing spellcards. I think getting more lives on that game is a lot easier..

Hong Meiling is generally when the game starts going uphill difficulty-wise for me. I usually mess up trying to keep my fire concentrated on the boss :( .I should probably start using Marisa more.
